i had a chicken po boy 2 nights ago. good chicken to tomato ratio.

i had many delicious po boys in new orleans over the weekend. some shrimp, some hot sausage, some cheeseburger, but notably: the breakfast po' boy!

oh, it was so great roxy. i went to one convenience store around 10:30 am and their kitchen wasn't open yet, and then i went to another one and it was like OF COURSE you've been serving breakfast po' boys since 7:30 am.

basically it was ham or bacon w/eggs, cheese, and hot sauce. the woman was vietnamese and was using chopsticks to dish out the scrambled eggs from this giant bowl. she asked me if wanted mayo or butter on there, and i said butter because mayo + eggs in the morning seemed kinda rong.

i also met a woman with a "hollywood bracelet" (ankle monitor) there.

also they were like under $5 and huge. i brought 4 back to my hungover bandmates and became a real american hero.

I was in Bendigo a couple of days ago and I was SHOCKED to see a cafe selling only Po' Boys there in deepest darkest country Australia.

No, I didn't eat there or take a photo. I had a Gillies pastie instead which was terrible, far worse than what they used to be.

there's a place in town that makes sorta shitty po' boys, but they get their bread every day from the leidenheimer bakery in new orleans (ie the truth). last night i went in there and they said they would sell me loaves to take home, and even gave me one on the house. time for a po' boy party!
