Those pieces in the picture up there are shit. Our rope was a real piece of string, and the lead pipe was lead (inherited the game pre-health & safety mania). Used to love bending the lead pipe back and forth.

though i have enjoyed 'Clue' in the past, on reflection i'm not sure where I stand on the idea of a family game about some dude getting stabbed/shot/strangled/bludgeoned to death. i suspect that the game wouldn't have been quite so popular if it had revolved around the considerably less fatal crime of sexual assault, although the use of the candlestick in that scenario would be quite brutal.
