Whoops.

NecroBastard (NecroBastard), Thursday, 5 August 2004 16:11 (twenty years ago)

i don't live in North Herts, but i drink lots of tea and hate my job? my name is roxy.

roxymuzak (roxymuzak), Thursday, 5 August 2004 18:27 (twenty years ago)

you're allowed roxy! hello!

dog latin (dog latin), Thursday, 5 August 2004 18:51 (twenty years ago)

Charles, you know this is a local site for local people.... heheh

NecroBastard (NecroBastard), Thursday, 12 August 2004 11:19 (twenty years ago)

I grew up in Eastern Hertfordshire, am I allowed to post?

Super-Masonic Black Hole (kate), Thursday, 12 August 2004 11:46 (twenty years ago)

yes. as long as you fill in one of these criteria:

1. you're from north herts
2. you don't listen to false metal
3. you're bored
4. you utilise the making and drinking of tea as a procrastinative tool.

dog latin (dog latin), Thursday, 12 August 2004 12:41 (twenty years ago)

I just made tea for everyone in the office for the third time today to avoid some really menial work that would actually be quick and easy to do. I am from Canada. Hello.

Rob Bolton (Rob Bolton), Thursday, 12 August 2004 15:21 (twenty years ago)

Do you actually have to make the tea, or does getting it from the machine count? cos the tea here probably doesnt qualify legally as tea, piss would be closer to keeping the trade description act. Time to bring a can of brew in, I reckon.

NecroBastard (NecroBastard), Thursday, 12 August 2004 15:58 (twenty years ago)

As long as the tea drinking/making/fetching involves you not actually doing proper work, you're alright.

If you drink Brew you pwn this board by default.

dog latin (dog latin), Thursday, 12 August 2004 16:29 (twenty years ago)

I make the tea. Not in the sense of harvesting the leaves and drying them and all that. But I put the bags (PG Tips - 'builder's tea' as my workmates call it) in the cups and boil the water and then pour the water in the cups and then take the bags out and put the milk in. I hear I'm supposed to put the milk in first, but I like to live on the edge. I usually make it for around 5-6 people, including myself. It has been said that I make a good cup of tea.

I just made 2 cups and had a 'Starsky & Hutch' jelly-filled doughnut.

Rob Bolton (Rob Bolton), Friday, 13 August 2004 07:01 (twenty years ago)

You put the milk in first with coffee as that stops the scalding of the beans, but the tea doesn't scald so easily so you may as well put it in as hot as possible so it brews better.

dog latin (dog latin), Friday, 13 August 2004 07:58 (twenty years ago)

1) like I said, I'm from East Herts
2) Oh no, I don't listen to false metal. Occasionally prog, but no false metal
3) Oh yes, so very.
4) Tea, Coffee, Temps' Delight, whatever. If it's caffeine and I can drink it, and avoid another ten minutes of work by making it, I'm so there.

Yup, I just made another cup of Temps' Delight.

Super-Masonic Black Hole (kate), Friday, 13 August 2004 11:46 (twenty years ago)

What's Temp's Delight?

dog latin (dog latin), Friday, 13 August 2004 12:24 (twenty years ago)

Hot chocolate mixed with instant coffee.

Super-Masonic Black Hole (kate), Friday, 13 August 2004 12:27 (twenty years ago)

I just made tea again, and best of all - WE WERE OUT OF MILK. This, of course, required that I (since I was on tea duty) had to go out to the store to purchase more milk. Every minute counts, people.

Rob Bolton (Rob Bolton), Friday, 13 August 2004 12:51 (twenty years ago)

I had a 2 hour meeting during which I said fuck all, then an hour lunch, then a smoke break 2 minutes after I got back. Pretty good (lack of) work, I reckon. But I didnt drink any tea, too much effort.

NecroBastard (NecroBastard), Friday, 13 August 2004 13:13 (twenty years ago)

Why do you need a staff meeting when your job requires you to sit around reading Viz all day?

dog latin (dog latin), Friday, 13 August 2004 13:35 (twenty years ago)

Thats what I wondered.I should have paid attention, maybe I`d have found out.

NecroBastard (NecroBastard), Friday, 13 August 2004 14:09 (twenty years ago)

Gravel Puzzleworth (Gregory Henry), Tuesday, 19 July 2005 04:59 (nineteen years ago)
