HIYA!

so i thought i'd share some of the truly fantastic side effects of these new drugs the doctor gave me. and if anyone can guess the correct combination that i currently have, then i'll buy you a pint. here's a tip for you, there's 3 of them!!!

very common side effects - lack of sleep, feeling sleepy, anorexia, nausea, diarrhea, delayed ejaculation in men, tremors, dizziness, dry mouth

common side effects - teeth grinding, gait, pins and needles, numbness, increased sweating, extreme emotional distress, excessive yawning, anxiety, headaches (which i already have!), blurred vision, ringing in the ears, chest pain, irregular heartbeat, heartburn, severe constipation, vomiting, skin rash, abnormal loss of strength, feeling tired and hot flushes.

less common side effects - hepatitis, pancreatitis, psychological effects such as, hallucinations, mania, hypomania, difficulty concentrating or sitting still, swelling of hands and feet, hair loss, urinary incontinence (the inability to control the flow of urine).

rare side effects - seizures or convulsions, uncontrollable twitching or writhing, abnormal enlargement of ther breasts, abnormal production of breast milk (in both men and women!), loss of sexual desire, reduced ability to act normally to everyday situations, loss of feeling of identity, coma, hives, kidney problems leading to swelling of the face, and last but not least, painful persistent erection of the penis.

i know what you mean latin. i looked at some of these things and just thought "aren't i supposed to be getting over this"?

i guess sometimes you have to suffer a bit first, to reap the benefit at a later date. and its not prozac, praise be to allah, cos i hated that stuff. so i'm willing to ride it out. and i don't reckon i've got extreme emotional distress, although i came very close to losing it at this woman in sainsburys on sunday. fucking trolley wars.

tev man, i have no idea what your 3 guesses are, but i might add that the 3 side effects i currently have are totally different to anything else i've been feeling lately.

I always get an painfull boner when I eat a ron's burger, Twistede Thinker gets this effect off Nando's. Is Nando's part of this fun mixture?

yes tev, the 'nando's effect' is unfortunately, one of these lovely side effects. but only for a few hours yesterday. not yet today!

Is one of them Propranalol? What about Amitriptyline? You usually need more tabs to get over the anxiety caused by reading the 'side effects' part!

The thing about these kinds of drugs (in my amateur opinion) is that they are only ever good for short term depression. Often people need to be "woken-up" from whatever's been getting them down and remember what it's like to be happy again so that they can get back on the right track and start fixing their lives. I'm not so sure if this works for long-term sufferers though. Then again what would I know? Sorry to hear about all this Clocko man.

without wanting to sound COMPLETELY RETARDED, but I've sometimes found (during bouts of down-ness rather than depression) that a good night out taking funny pills/powders can do wonders. Sure you get a comedown but in a weird way I think it gets the juices flowing and kinda reminds you how to say to yourself "fuck it, I'm a gumma have me a good time and nothing's going to get in my way". Then again I don't do it all the time, and the closest I've ever come to unexplainable depression is last summer in Meadowbank when everything was going right for a change but I was feeling so wrong, and that only lasted about 5 or 6 months.

I think messing with your seratonin isn't the bestest of plans if you're clinicaly depressed or psychotic.
I'm relatively happy person and it effects my moods for months after. That's why I've kicked the e. Well mainly.

if you read what i wrote i said i'd never recommend it for people who are clinically depressed, only if you're feeling a bit downers. and also to watch out for the comedown, which doesn't seem to affect me as much as it used to, 'specially if i take 5-htp after. Quite surprised that after the party (and two little insignificants) the other day, it took a lay in and a second viewing of Howl's Moving Castle and I was ok. Sorry, I guess that's cold comfort on this thread really.

Ya, seemed a bit incongruous as advice and pretty subjective. But then it is a subjective business, even herb can induce psychosis in some unfortunate brains so what can you do. My mate woke up with epilepsy at the grand old age of 27, was it the copious everything he used to insert into every orifice at every opportunity? No it were hereditory illness and now he can't drive cars or be a fireman like he wanted. Life is like condaleeza's left leg. Neither right nor fair.

fucking hell you lot!!!!! yeah, fair enough, i'm not on top of the world right now. but i started this thread as a bit of a joke like, something to cheer myself up with, and so everyon could have a right giggle at these bloody side effects. i'm not really into moaning and whining, i just want to laugh about it, try and see a funny side, not that there really is one, but damn it i'll be trying.

Judging from my own experiences, I shall guess lack of sleep and anxiety! I like how one of the possibly side effects listed is coma. What're you supposed to do, just hope someone finds you?
