Best-rocket

Worst- Dunno...... carrots are a bit rub' but I don't hate them.

Tev, Thursday, 18 May 2006 12:23 (nineteen years ago)

worst - brussell sprouts - couldnt taste nice if they tried!!

sab, Thursday, 18 May 2006 12:40 (nineteen years ago)

my mum does good sprouts, but the trick is to roast them in butter.

best: ooh maybe it's rocket or maybe asparagus.

worst: sweetcorn

dog latin (dog latin), Thursday, 18 May 2006 12:43 (nineteen years ago)

a bit on the fence about carrots - used to hate em but recently I've been putting them in cooking and they add a bit of crunch. don't like the taste on it's own. Beetroot is disgusting.

dog latin (dog latin), Thursday, 18 May 2006 12:44 (nineteen years ago)

Yeah esparigus is good, I thought about that one and artichoke but neither are very universal Y.G.M?

Sweetcorn is fairly rub' appart from on the cob with a shit load of butter and pepper A-TEDZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

tev, Thursday, 18 May 2006 12:46 (nineteen years ago)

Yeah I'm not a massive fan of beetroot but on a steak with jalapinos and "Italian style haard cheese" it's well sexual!

Tev, Thursday, 18 May 2006 12:48 (nineteen years ago)

what is italian hard-style cheese? is it like a cross between gabba and piano house?

i remember liking artichoke when i ate it once as a kid, but then i once smelled it and thought it was gross.

chilis are good veg, that goes without saying.

good asparagus recipe:

switch on oven on high
get a bit of ham (or bacon)
stick a bit of soft cheese in the centre of the slice of ham
put an asparagus in the middle of the ham
roll up the ham and cheese and asparagus into a parcel
roast for a while

voila, crispy yummy creamy hammy aspargass treat!

dog latin (dog latin), Thursday, 18 May 2006 13:17 (nineteen years ago)

sates, Thursday, 18 May 2006 13:21 (nineteen years ago)

corn on the cob is luvly, not sweetcorn though - ugh!

dog latin (dog latin), Thursday, 18 May 2006 13:28 (nineteen years ago)

Best: tricky, I pretty much love all of them especially broc-broc, beetroot, asparagus and artichoke. and them little taste the difference tomatoes on the vine (although they ar froot)

Worst: Fennel, ugh.

blizzard, Thursday, 18 May 2006 13:35 (nineteen years ago)

ooh, i've got those tomatoes. and yeh they're a veg in real life aren't they!

dog latin (dog latin), Thursday, 18 May 2006 13:38 (nineteen years ago)

Mmm fennel butterbean and squash bake..
Sweet taters are lovely and yammy type tubers in general. Doesn't like mushrooms though, they're too closely related to mould and grow between the toes of decomposing corpses.

ginweasel, Thursday, 18 May 2006 13:45 (nineteen years ago)

no mushrooms are nice, especially if you can afford the dubiously-named shiitake kind.

dog latin (dog latin), Thursday, 18 May 2006 14:17 (nineteen years ago)

mushrooms aren't vegetables

satan, Thursday, 18 May 2006 15:40 (nineteen years ago)

i love mushrooms

i hate pepper. makes my mouth feel all weird. same with onions. like the taste of both of them, but can't have them in my mouth.

are shrooms really not a vegetable?

killer clockney (honesttoafault), Friday, 19 May 2006 08:04 (nineteen years ago)

Department of health and human services says not.
http://www.cdc.gov/nccdphp/dnpa/5aday/month/mushroom.htm
That is probably because they are predatory carnivores and eat only corpses.

ginweasel, Friday, 19 May 2006 08:22 (nineteen years ago)

I LOVE BIG CUCUMBERS AND HATE OUT OF DATE SHROOMS

Captain Smash (Captain Smash), Friday, 19 May 2006 09:36 (nineteen years ago)

dog latin (dog latin), Saturday, 20 May 2006 16:22 (nineteen years ago)

celery's a quite good vegetable, although it could just be that I'm partial to the kinds of dishes it tends to show up in (hearty stews and all that). potatoes and carrots are good too, though I'm not a fan of just plain carrots.

cabbage is more or less worthless.

bernard snow (sixteen sergeants), Monday, 22 May 2006 16:02 (nineteen years ago)

ooh not celery thanks...

dog latin (dog latin), Monday, 22 May 2006 16:22 (nineteen years ago)

how could I forget broccoli

broccoli is the only one I really like

bernard snow (sixteen sergeants), Tuesday, 23 May 2006 15:26 (nineteen years ago)

broccoli's for gheys!

sates, Tuesday, 23 May 2006 22:15 (nineteen years ago)

broccoli's alright. it's like eating trees and you can pretend you're a brontosaurus while you're at it.

2 year old dog latin (dog latin), Wednesday, 24 May 2006 00:34 (nineteen years ago)

broccoli's spongey, that's what makes it good. 'slike a healthy veggie sponge you can dip in soy sauce or cheddar cheese 'n then squeeze out in your mouth

bernard snow (sixteen sergeants), Wednesday, 24 May 2006 02:19 (nineteen years ago)

haha my uni roommate refused to eat brocolli because it was like little trees and therefore WOROMG.

best veg are fresh peppers.

Gravel Puzzleworth (Gregory Henry), Wednesday, 24 May 2006 02:53 (nineteen years ago)

How dare you.
Broccoli is the most marvellous vegetable, ambrosia from the gods. Its presence was celebrated annually at the feast of the Bacchus.
