TS: Katie Vick's funeral vs JR's Anal surgery

If you're bored, try counting how many old angles are being recycled in this storyline.

It's actually a recycling of the skit that followed Katie Vick's funeral, where Kane pulled a series of items from a faux-Helmsley anus.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that one. Didn't that have Hurricane playing the doctor (Kane + Cane were a tag team at the time), leading to a Cane/HHH match that resulted in a squash for youknowwho?

OK, let's count the recycled angles and skits that were contained in that one segment:

1. Austin vs McMahon
2. JR getting fired
3. Katie Vick
4. Hurricane operating on HHH
5. Hart Foundation vs USA (Vince's comment about Fresno + enema)
6. Mae Young's pregnancy (no joke, I was watching last night and thought, "the only way this could be any stupider was if Vince pulled a hand out of JR's ass", and then, voila)
7. JR "commentating" on his own surgery -- I'm sure they did something like this a few years back ... didn't heel Rock conduct an fake interview like this once? I'm blanking on this one.

continue ...

I haven't seen Raw in several weeks and recaps just indicate that I've missed nothing worth paying attention to.
I'm not against "sports entertainment" as a concept (as I enjoyed most of the Austin-Rock era) and some of my favorite wrestlers work for the WWE but unless there's an acknowledgement that the creative direction isn't working and an attempt toward something new, I'm just too burned out at this point on the painfully bad booking.

I think that the fake interview you're thinking of involved the Rock & Kurt Angle, but Angle was the one doing the interviewing.
