Sparked by Chris Cruise SHOOTIN~~~ (can't wait for Lee Marshall to step up!).

I don't think Styles is a failure, but the neutered version ain't working. The thing is, his approach works in a "c'mon, it's wrestling for fuck's sake" way. Tazz and Cole have the ESPN vibe. I prefer these two approaches because, well, WWE is pretty shit right now so no sense in faking the emotion. Would JR make Cena's weekly beatdown more dramatic? Sure. But bottom line, the shit is weak and overselling it just tells me that I'm an idiot who will drink weak shit.

Anyway, I don't buy the "JR makes bad angles sound exciting" defense, mainly because bad angles still insult my intelligence and I don't need to trick myself into liking them.

Styles isn't too bad currently even if Vinny Mac has cut of his balls. Has everyone forgot how crap JR got?

In any case, it's almost impossible to get over the top of two colour commentators. Especially when both of them, Coach and King, are complete shithouse.

I read people criticize Styles for doing a poor job of acting for some shitty deal where some dumb diva showed off her tits and he was supposed to fake being sexually excited. I was shocked that people actually thought that a guy like JR, for that matter, Gordon Solie would be put in that position, nor would do any better. Styles is being criminally misused, and clearly has given up. Coach or Lawler needs to go, and the whole thing is a waste. Which is why I gave up and started watching tapes instead. Best of Necrobutcher in Japan? Why certainly!
