1. Unprettier - it's just dumb
2. bookerT scissors kick - note to anyone fighting bookerT: just don't bend down.
3. 619 - ditto: don't go unconscious on the ropes
4. lionsault - it'd be good if it happens smoothly from another move rather than stopping building it up.
5. the spear - "omg!! he nearly cut him in half" yeah whatever! at least when rhyno does the gore he is like, heavy! the spear does not render somebody unconscious or unable to kick out.

I actually like the Unprettier. Why is it dumb? The set-up is only semi-contrived and it's an unprotected face plant (like an inverted Pedigree without the jumping).

Does anyone remember when Christian used to do a jackknife elbowdrop (like a frogsplash except it's an elbowdrop instead of a splash)? I guess heels don't do high-flying moves generally, but man, Chrisitian has the most boring generic moveset (Unprettier, two variations of an inverted DDT and a choke in the corner).

I agree with ken c's picks -- except the Unprettier, which rules.

What happened to Edge's multiple finishers? When the female non-wrestlers like Stacy and Torrie are using spears as takedowns, it's a sign that no actual wrestler should be using that move as a finisher. What happened to the Impaler and the Edge-ocution?

Jericho has never had a decent finisher. When he wrestled smaller, more flexible guys he could apply the Walls of Jericho properly, now, it's just a stupid Boston crab.

Another vote for the Unprettier being indisputably ace.

The pumphandle slam - for fuck's sake, there is NO NEED TO SET UP A COMPLICATED FROM-BEHIND LEG-ARM INTERFACE IN ORDER TO GET SOMEBODY ON YOUR SHOULDER EXACTLY AS IF YOU'D JUST FUCKING SCOOPED THEM UP FOR A BOG-STANDARD BODYSLAM.

Test's running big boot was usually quite vicious looking, I thought.

The F-U's a bit wank. Another one of those 'why does that hurt any more than the bland wear-down moves you were using in the first three minutes of the match?' deals. I'm sure ratings would go up if they just sacrificed 50% of the roster to crazy-ass neck bumps each year.

(Remember when Brock Lesnar got pissed off at Bob Holly messing him around and powerbombed his neck into several fragments on Smackdown? RAAAAAATIIIIINGS)

Actually, I think Shelton Benjamin's slam is lamer. It's supposed to be like Jun Akiyama's Exploder, but he doesn't do it nearly as well. And it's not a credible finisher in Japan either -- he normally has to do it multiple times to get a fall (on a top opponent) or bust out the Exploder '98 variant.

The best wrestling finishers are on TNA nowadays! Fuck WWE! TNA is the way to go! chris daniels 'Angels wings' kiks ass, Aj Styles 'Styles clash' owns and Samoa Joes 'Muscle buster' fucking kicks anus.....Compared to shit like the F-U, and a flying headbutt theres no competition. The more contrived the better!

Agree with your list except on two points:

1) Flying headbutt shit? It's a great move because it's graceful (looks good), semi-realistic (in the context of pro wrestling) and is quite emotional because it's a sign that he's sacrificing himself to win the match, more so than a "high-risk" manoeuver like a 450 splash (miss it, you land on your belly; miss the headbutt, you might break your neck).

2) Any move that flattens your belly shouldn't be a devastating finisher. The Style Clash is a glorified pancake piledriver, which DDP used to do. Out of his moveset, I think the Pele is his best potential finisher, except he actually connects with it 50% of the time.

I really like AJ Styles, but his moveset bothers me 'cause they don't make sense. It's just flowery; an inverted DDT is an inverted DDT, no matter how many backward flips you add to it beforehand. One example is the Triple Threat match with Samoa Joe and Christopher Daniels. I think Joe had Daniels in a submission hold and Styles, who was outside, climbs to the top rope. To break the hold, he pulls out a twisting corkscrew moonsault. I mean, c'mon, just drop an elbow or something; that just made me laugh and took all the realism away.

There's no excuse for the FU, though, I'll give you that.

The Styles Clash not only bothers me as a finisher but as a wrestling as well because all of AJ's momemntum and force appears to be on the lower hallf of the opponent's body. Basically, it looks like Styles performs an inverted ddt on someone's ankles while they feign being knocked out.

The Muscle Buster is basically a Samoan Drop (= not the best of finishers), but the way he sets up the move, with the other guy crunched up on his shoulder, is what makes it.

Cena's FU's have improved a lot since the start of his face run. He used to flip his opponent off his shoulders and let them fall to the mat. Now he at least follows them down to give more impact to the move.

It's still a shit finisher, though.

I Agree that the Musclebuster and the Canadian Destroyer are devistating finishing moves but .. whatabout when the Hurricane was "Shane Helms" in WCW and used the Vertabreaker .. that was sweet .. or whatabout Joe's other finisher he used in Zero One and ROH the Island Driver .. Tommy Dreamer used to do it but Joe does it awesome .. if you look on Joe's page he does it to CW Anderson and its sweet.

OR my personal Favorite Alex Shelley's Shellshock .. he hooks you in an inverted DDT except hes not facing the normal direction he hooks it backwards then twists and hits a spinning faceplant .. its awesome he did it to Jack Evans in ROH and it was unbelievable. He doesnt use it often enough though.

The Unprettier is an incredible move! So is his Inverted Tornado DDT witch he calls the CCT. The Pump-Handle Slam is an incedibly lame move with one exception - The Boogeymans version witch he calls Goodnight. He fully swings his leg forward, then back for more impact. I like Gregory Helms's Shining Wizard, it is my finishing move! I also like Kid Kash's Dead Level, it is awesome. Who saw ECW One Night Stand? What a dumb question, who didn't! The pedigree i think is one of the worst cause its so unrealistic, if u did it 2 someone in real life their legs wouldnt just go straight up in the air, so its just fake. Also the Rock Bottom is pretty crap aswel because it just wouldnt hurt anymore than ur average move, i.e bodyslam

1. Despite the fact that the people's elbow is "the most electrifying move in WWE history" it is also the "biggest steaming pile of shit finisher move in WWE history." If his opponents down long enough for him to do the move, he could pin them about six times. I know im being an ass about this, so what?
2. The F-U, STFU, and John Cena in general can rot in hell.
3. Paul Birchill's new finisher from the 3/10/06 Smackdown is the worst finisher i have ever seen.
4. Last thing, i swear, the complete shot is an awesome finisher, don't even try to deny it!!

I like and dislike alot of moves. The Rock Bottom is a good move, but as a finisher it is slack! It is just a Uri-Nage Sideslam! The FU is good, well it is at least better than the Rock Bottom! The Hogan Leg-Drop is good i reckon? I don't know why but I just like watching Hulk Hogan "Hulk Up" and hit the Leg-Drop? The Peoples Elbow is crappy. Even Ric Flair kicked out of it at Wrestlemania XX! Paul Burchills Backflip Uri-Nage is a great move! Paul Burchill just does it with ease! The Pedigree is a great move! The Sweet Chin Music is a great move! My favourite moves are: The Spicolli Driver, The DDT, The Shining Wizard and Terry Funk's Spinning Toe-Hold!. My most hated move is: I don't really hate any move but I don't really like the Inverted DDT? I just don't really like it? I don't know? Give me your thoughts?

My favourite finishers are the Batista Bomb and the Five star frog splash.... BATISTA BOMB IS SO POWERFUL!!! and the five star splash is cool because he gets so high in the air and just bangs on ghim.... what are your thoughts?????

I agree that the shane o' mac coast to coast is a sweet move, good call. Also, the Mickey James tornado DDT is awesome with the mid air momentary stall. Also also, unless Petey Williams does the Canadian Destroyer while runnung, it looks like the most cheesetastic move ever. One last thing, I take back my comment about Burchill's "walk the plank" finisher. I love it now. His character is just awesome.

For the few people who bother the hell out of me by saying "Oh the tombstone is so fake," or "the pedigree is stupid," I have to lay some facts on you. If Taker actually plowed the head of his opponents every week, everyone on the roster would have a broken neck. Same goes for HHH and the pedigree. Trevor Murdoch is a true WWE Superstar. Lance Cade is OK, but he needs a hair cut. Lance Cade's Flying Elbow Drops rule! Um... the worst finishing move would have to be Scotty 2 Hotty's Worm. It is just so stupid. The set-up move, the bulldog, is stronger then that fairy-tail piece of shit he calls the "Worm". I disagree. Rhyno's finisher is awesome. Three simple words to describe it... the swanton bomb that jeff hardy does is pretty lame cause he never even jumps with the freaking move for crying out loud! I wrestle in real life (not on t.v.) and I use it as my finisher exept I call it the black out bomb cuz I actually leap and dive with it. same with jeffs twist of fate his opponents face doesnt even hit the mat! his brothers is better cuz thier face does hit the mat!anyway my second finisher is the spike diver DDT in which before smashing there face on the ground ETC. I push my bicept on the back of thier head and while pushing I smash thier face on the ground. this is just a message saying that THE SWANTON BOMB SUCKS!
