I think their central problem is a shortage of really stellar main eventers - they've tried to push various people and it hasn't taken. Raw still has Triple H, and a couple of decentish contenders in Benoit and Orton, Jericho too with a fresh push, but the big push for the likes of Maven and Snitsky smacks of desperation. Smackdown is struggling - Undertaker is past it really, Angle has become boring, Show doesn't punch near his weight, and so on. JBL is fun, but they need a few people who can electrify a ring and a promo the way that the Rock, Stone Cold, Foley and so on did until recently. They're both okay in the mid-card, but they need a couple more really hot people at the top, and some good tag teams besides the Dudleys. I don't see enough of other federations to judge who might fit the bill on either of these.
