RoH's biggest trick has always been convincing people that it was a straight-up Jap style wrasslin' fed whilst still engaging in the same amount of gimmickry and sports entertainment as the competing indies of the time (remember MLW? No, me neither).

But, yeah, it's worth getting a card from pwtorrents.net just to see if its your kind of thing. To be honest, I've not followed a second of it for about six months (it's all about FWA nowadays), but apparently they;ve gone strong style crazy, which could explain the DVD hard-on (hey, I've not bothered with DVDVR for six months either! Are the new batch of posters still as mind-numbingly awful as they used to be?)

The DVDVR world is rather new to me, so I haven't witnessed the supposed de-evolution you speak of. Perhaps you can spell it out as I'm not in the know. But it seems as geekishly insular as any specialized message board community from my cursory glances.

Oh, the posters there have always been hypocritical, try-to-hard, inward looking pricks, but now they're hypocritical, try-to-hard, inward looking pricks who complain about HHH all day long, rather than, I dunno, talking about Harley Race.

Interesting. My intitial alienating experience on that board was seeing a thread sep up for thoughts on the previous nights Raw, somehow transform into an inpenetrable back-and-forth about some Japanese wrestler I've never heard of.
