according to English folklore it only grows well in households where the woman holds the upper hand. This makes me totally whipped, cos I've got a garden full of it.

Suggestions for what to use it for, please (so far I've used it to marinate pork & fried whole leaves in butter to go with pumpkin risotto). Anything else?

toss whole leaves with new potatoes, sea salt, and olive oil and grill. sage leaves are lovely when crispy.

Yes, brown some butter and put some sage leaves in until they get crispy for a fantastic pasta sauce.

Toss in a pan with some olive oil and cubed pancetta and stick on top of some tortellini (or casoncelli for authenticity) with lots of parmesan.

My wife dries out sage and lights it up as incense. I've never smoked pot, but I know what it smells like, and burning sage smells like pot. Is sage like a drug?
