God, they're good at the moment. I don't care about cooking them, I just want to guzzle as many as possible.

O little box of satsumas
How sweetly you do smell!
Thin zippered skins; white pips within
Thy juicy wedges dwell.

i've been working my way through a box of about 50 clementines.

Mmmm, clementines (and satsumas, and oranges)...I think, on reflection, they are my favourite thing about Christmas.

five years pass...

Has anyone tried the Cara Cara navel oranges that are supposed to be pink on the inside? I was expecting like a citrus Barbie car on the inside but it's just a very slightly pink, and quite pretty, shade of totally orange. They taste good but I am warning the easily let down here!

Here is a picture I took with random color picker selections below:

I got some of these by accident to make ambrosia with on Christmas Eve. They tasted nice but weren't very juicy at all. I was annoyed - unless you look really carefully at the little sticker on the peel, there's no way you'd know!

Here's my ambrosia recipe by the way. Cutting the oranges this way is fiddly but once you've had it a couple of times you'l never go back.

My grandma would always suspend ambrosia stuff in Cool Whip, which is why I developed a distaste for it – wld probably be p tasty without.

Haha yeah mine is the all-natural hippie version, just two ingredients, oranges and grated coconut.
