hHELP.. I live in chorley lancashire ENGLAND.. Can anybody tell me where I can buy the sythetic cream, I used to get from my baker friend ten or so years ago.. It used to be packaged in plastic gallon containers .. which realy was to much for me but was realy delicious ... the same sythetic cream you used to get in large profiter rolls .. sponge cakes etc.. you used to pour some into a mixing bowl ,,and whisk it using an electric hamd mixer for quite a long time .. say ten minuets or more , befor it thickened correctey ..thanks in anticipation .. I cant wait to make a 12" tall . 3 layerd jam and cream . sponge cake .. yummey yummey''' Michael...xxx...

I take it you've tried all the cream alternatives on the supermarket shelves? The best way forward would be to try any of the catering wholesalers such as bestway or JJs. Have you got a Costco card? Might be worth a try. The other alternative is to go into one of the many bakers in Chorley and ask if you can buy a tub off them!

Which bit of chorley do you live? I had the delight of living there in my teenage years, and there are an awful lot of family still there
