Boo! I need Halloween recipes...

My sister is throwing her annual Halloween party and I need to start thinking about what I'll bring. Here's what we've had in the past:

- Witch's Fingers (sugar cookies rolled into the shape of a finger, paint a blanched almond red to serve as fingernail)
- Eyeballs (radish, almost completely peeled but leaving some red lines of skin to serve as veins, scoop out a hole and shove olive inside)
- Mummy (filling wrapped with ribbons of pizza dough, in the shape of a body)
- Ghost sandwiches (just sandwiches cut with a ghost shaped cookie cutter)
- Kitty Litter Cake (you've got to see this to believe it. probably the biggest hit at the party.)

There were other things, but I can't remember what at the moment. If you find any cool spooky recipes, please post them!

The scariest thing I've ever eaten was something a guest brought to dinner once. Definitely memorable, but not recommended. Here's the link: http://www.theilliterate.com/archives/illiterati/00000135.htm

The Kitty Litter cake is brilliant! There's always the old standby - "worms" (spaghetti).

Also! Archee McPhee sells a brain shaped jello mold, with instructions for making gray jello! http://www.mcphee.com/bigindex/current/10375.html

Oh, that reminds me: the people I know who like doing the brain-shaped Jello also cook with liquid nitrogen a lot. You can get it at hardware stores, I believe, and it makes good ice cream (there're liquid nitrogen cooking pages all over the web) -- that's pretty Halloweeny, all the fog coming up from it all.

That brain is such a good idea! I'd only worry that the gross-factor would discourage people from eating it (hardly anyone actually had any kitty litter cake, even though it was delish, and NO ONE had the radish eyeballs.) Maybe I'd do just a red-jello brain...

And- and it would be cool to suspend little plastic toys in different areas of the brain! A little plastic sports equipment in the cerebellum (motor skills), lips in the temporal lobe (speech, language), a small sex thing in the pituitary gland, etc... I mean, wouldn't that be cool?

"a small sex thing in the pituitary gland," It would be cool and I'm dying to know what you would come up with for a small sex thing!

Uh.. At the time I was thinking about a piece or two of those penis/boob shaped pastas.
