what do you cook/eat when it gets late and you been up to no good and the stomach is telling you it's time to palliate what came before?

jergins (jergins), Tuesday, 29 August 2006 05:46 (nineteen years ago)

Whatever's handy, generally. Cheese. Applesauce. Cold hotdogs. Once, a cold tofu dog :P

Jaq (Jaq), Tuesday, 29 August 2006 11:38 (nineteen years ago)

One of those frozen Superpretzels (well, I do cook it first) with cream cheese. Sometimes a cookie or small brownie with some milk. My standard in high school and college was peanut butter toast.

Always savoury, never sweet. A big chunk of cheese satisfies me best.

Mädchen (Madchen), Tuesday, 29 August 2006 13:52 (nineteen years ago)

two weeks pass...
nachos! nachos! nachos! or if you're lucky the tamale guy will bounce into your quaffing spot and you'll be set up (chicago specifically).

jdchurchill (jdchurchill), Tuesday, 12 September 2006 18:52 (nineteen years ago)

Toast, preferably with crunchy peanut butter. Failing that, cheese is indeed good.

Matt (Matt), Wednesday, 13 September 2006 13:17 (nineteen years ago)

Big ol' spoonful of peanut butter. Not something I should admit, probably. Cheese is a more sensible answer, I think.

dairy + alcohol is an extremely sick-making propostiong for me.

tacos late night last night. i think they saved me from what would have been an even worse hangover.

The cheese and onion crisp sandwich is always a classic. And if I have the energy and wherewithall, a fried egg sandwich.

Falafel w/ everything and french fries (those ones that are just wedges of real potato with the skins on and lots of paprika looking spices, you know, the kind in 24 hour falafel joints).

I ate most of a very large bag of cheesy footballs last night. I could do with finishing them off just now - cornflakes really don't hit the hungover spot.

Madchen, Sunday, 24 June 2007 12:14 (eighteen years ago)

Ultimate late-night snack for me has got to me leftover roast chicken. Generally we'll have eaten the legs and some breast, so when you sneak it out of the fridge at about ten o' clock there's the rest of the breast to pick off, the wings, the underbelly with the cooled jelly from roasting and all the little bits you miss when you carve. Serve with buttered bread and salt = orgasmic evening experience.

"chocolate ice cream"

I made rich creamy chocolate ice cream. Sadly I can't munch on it. :-( Instead I ate strawberries with whipped cream. YUMMY.
