I wasted some of my time over the weekend tweeting at some dude who had a kneejerk anti-feminist reaction to an article that was completely uncontroversial about diversity in computer science. I think he admitted to never reading the article at one point, and he claimed he was just tired of people from outside of the tech sector causing problems or some bullshit.

He spent a fair amount of time trying to qualify the writer (who writes for website Ars Technica) as "not in tech."

Also, I hate everything now.

Eh, I'd suspect that the video was at least crafted to be claimed by both sides - a lot of GG are quite insistent that theirs is the diverse side (because obviously SJWs are all actually white straight men white knighting), and stating an identity as a gamer will be seen by them as a pro-GG move - they are still very very hilariously hurt over the 'Gamers are dead' articles.
