The 48K ZX Spectrum was £175 at launch.

I have a feeling that anyone actually interested in this product already has either a working Spectrum, or a dead Spectrum, a bootflashed Arduino, and a Bluetooth module in a pile of wires on their workbench.

It quickly dropped to £129, iir. That's what I paid for mine (although gutted because I missed the rubber key'd version and ended up with a Speccy + which although had some nice extra keys ah I really like that old design)

And so, will be buying.

I preferred the Spectrum+. Hated the +2 and +3, although their crappy keyboards were strangely predictive of modern laptop style keyboards.

^^^ this guy's mod doesn't have the Bluetooth module, but for a bonus he built it primarily for use with a Spectrum emulator running on a Raspberry Pi.

I'm gutted mine is dead to be honest, I was given it and hundreds of old tapes and a tape recorder. I wanted to hold a speccy night for a select group of friends but after five minutes of use the aerial connector came loose and was impossible to solder back on.

The whole thing looks like a weird hoax, just the fact that no physical copy has ever been seen is a bit suspect. It looks like exactly what would happen if you could somehow send a really terrible flash game back in time and put it onto a SNES cartridge in 1997.

Very 1997 shareware IMO, much more than SNES, especially the look of the digitized still images.
