LA Noire's game mechanic was annoying, you had 3 options when questioning a suspect, forget the terminology but essentially you could believe them, challenge them with proof of their dishonesty, or doubt them without proof. The distinction between the latter two options was close to utterly arbitrary and annoying as hell. The acting,storyline, and writing were all pretty good as far as games go

the one time I bought into tim rogers' contrarian hyping the game was pish

there were definitely things about la noire i liked, in spite of the bad parts, im curious to see him talk abt it for a long time bc he might cover some of those things

like if they removed all of the "game" from it and made it a drive around 1920s simulator i'd maybe love it even more?!

In the context of this TM video at least, he seemed to be championing the interrogation gameplay.

this game seems like it is good

When you're doing the part of the game that isn't interrogating people it's pretty stale

But it's a great game world for the era. Really cool version of classic LA

honestly, this would be the ultimate tim rogers review for me

I have zero interest in baseball, but I'm sure he'd make it compelling. And then I might come away with *a little* interest in baseball.
