Earthbound NES got a surprise digital western release for WiiU yesterday under the name Earthbound Beginnings

A strange Microsoft show there, not setting the world alight really.

Sea of Theives, from Rare, looks interesting but looks useless unless you have a team of people you can play and work with.

The Hololens stuff, wasn't it augmented reality? I was a bit confused there, I really don't see how you could play Minecraft the way the camera was looking at it. Might be cool for RTS games though.

oh backward compatibility now with Xbox ONE/360's

eh, thought it was a decent enough show for the xbox demographic (i.e. not me), lots of grimdark shootbang games & the 360 backwards compatibility was a surprise. Cuphead still looks amazing, loved the artstyle of that Beyond Eyes game. that Hololens stuff was bollocks though, it doesn't really cover your whole field of vision like they were making it out to be, more like a small rectangle of stuff in front of you.

I think I've just been spoiled by the Fallout 4 show

I'm impressed that Bethesda had the restraint not to bombard us with FO4 until until now - 6 months is a good enough hype period IMO

Cuphead does look amazing. That and the release of BATTLETOADS ARCADE are the only things that entice me to the X1

Three-episode The Walking Dead: Michonne series from Telltale. Nice.

Battlefront gameplay on the E3, Hoth battle. Nice I thought.

MS's conference was weirdly organized. The first half was all shooters, with the forza/ford's-ad being the exception. Then some interesting games, then back to generic AAA games where you shoot things.

was a big fan of the original Mirrors Edge so was a bit apprehensive about the new game, but looks like they didn't turn it into a shooter & kept the bright colourful look. phew!

a little bird told me there'd be some sort of tie in with the wizard movie during nintendo's event

I like that one of the Morpheus games had a Jumping Flash jump.

Gotta admit the Hololens stuff looks pretty impressive. Definitely stepping towards the Holodeck.
