Into The Breach: Is this game a bit perfect?

Starting this thread because I picked this up for my daughter's Switch in the sale and am startled at how involving it is - even though I find it so tricky. It matched Trials HD in the "Fuck I lost again, let's restart" stakes, and seems so involving and perfectly balanced. Anyone else played/playing Into The Breach?

I played a little bit and really liked it but stopped for some reason, maybe because I don't have enough big tactics brain to do well and felt kinda stupid? I should probably come back to it and embrace my stupid.

I definitely don't have tactical brain and I am getting my ass kicked so much but it is so satisfying and also kind of chill in a way that I don't mind.

FTL looks awesome, and I am in some way glad it is not on Switch and I don't play games on my laptop as I could see it easily swallowing my life. I have played the phone version of the board game Galaxy Trucker at least once a day since lockdown and I could totally see FTL absorbing me in a similar way.

This is an all time favorite of mine, even though I'm kinda bad at it. The design is just so clean. When I first started playing it I was so obsessed I would see the grid when I'd close my eyes--the only time in my life I'd ever had the "tetris effect" with a game.

I'd really love a new title from this studio

I spent much of yesterday recovering from staying up till 3am the previous night to hit a deadline and then getting up dead early to rewrite, and am shuddering to think how many hours I spent endlessly playing this game in that weird hinterland of exhaustion.
