Any suggestions for short games to try out before voting?

Venba is a narrative game that takes < 2 hours.

How short, and do you have money constraints?
Repeat the Ending and Of Our Shadows Deep are both free-to-play text adventures, neither too long imo. If On A Winter's Night, Four Travelers is a free/pay what you like point-and-click, it's very bite-sized but a nice little game.
Slay the Princess isn't necessarily short as you can replay it with vastly different results a bunch of times (and you should do so), but you can definitely do a couple of run-throughs and get a feel for it very quickly. It's a narrative fantasy-horror game with incredible art, that is almost certainly tagged "story rich"/"choices matter" on Steam.

I'm going to use this thread to lobby for Thank Goodness You're Here, which is just... wild. I went in expecting surrealist British humour, and that's all over it, but it's significantly more mad than I was anticipating. AND my lovely local pub landlord does voice acting on it, which only bloody went and got him a Bafta nomination.

awesome. i have to admit i bailed on TGYH after a couple of hours because it felt too linear/too unchallenging and it didn't charm me or make me laugh enough. but it's definitely worth checking out and my ever-waning attention span shouldn't be the metric here
i think A Space for the Unbound is relatively short - i probably finished it in under a week - but i'm really just looking for any excuse to recommend it because it's a beautiful game that i'm gonna throw an unseemly amount of points at probably

Yes! Spoilers, but it's definitely going to be number one on my ballot. Thank Goodness You’re Here!

I also didn't jibe with TGYH -- I think you need to appreciate humour, and not just humor (i.e. a very specific, very British style).

Oh yeah, I think you'll either find it incredibly funny or not funny at all. I wouldn't put it down solely to British vs not-British humour, even though a fair amount of the comedy is region-specific: it's wild, wacky, absurdist and crude, and that's not for everybody at all.

Oh and I guess I'm still accepting additional noms, if you've already voted but want to amend, you can re-copy the ballot to get the updated nom list.
