can you identify this game console?

a friend bought a lousy game console in the mid 90's, the main thing I remember about it is that color changing clouds (all kinds of pastels) were displayed on the tv screen when a music cd was inserted in it

I guess it's a 64Bit games console, a 3do? a jaguar?
