This is the real problem people

I guess "The Blue Skies Initiative" was rejected as a name.

kingfish hobo juckie (kingfish 2.0), Wednesday, 16 November 2005 23:16 (twenty years ago)

I'm not twelve anymore. A jaded life deserves a jaded video game.

(Double Dragon still has soooooo much to answer for.)

Pleasant Plains /// (Pleasant Plains ///), Wednesday, 16 November 2005 23:19 (twenty years ago)

oh shit, now I know why I've been so depressed since I finished Faxanadu

57 7th (calstars), Thursday, 17 November 2005 00:56 (twenty years ago)

I kind of agree with this. I like my skies blue, my grass green, and my suns either smiling cartoonily or trying to kill me.

Laura H. (laurah), Thursday, 17 November 2005 15:05 (twenty years ago)

Using more jewel-like primary colors would have actually allowed me to enjoy Ocarina of Time. Alas.

Laura H. (laurah), Thursday, 17 November 2005 15:09 (twenty years ago)

That year when the UKR guy was first starting to get genuinely and sincerely bitter and tying it all to the failure of the Dreamcast was maybe the funnist games writing ever.

Gravel Puzzleworth (Gregory Henry), Thursday, 17 November 2005 15:28 (twenty years ago)

i kind of agree with it too! it's kind of like nintendo DS vs. psp (or s1ocki vs. antexit)

s1ocki (slutsky), Thursday, 17 November 2005 16:37 (twenty years ago)

D'ya know what. This makes sense, and I think, No I *know*, this is why I still prefer playing Vice City rather than the newer San Andreas.

Ste (Fuzzy), Thursday, 17 November 2005 16:57 (twenty years ago)

Wait, was there lens-flare in any of the N64 Zelda games? I remember getting a kick out of being able to look up & see the sun & moon discernably travel across the sky, but I can't remember if they actually coded the flare effect in or not.

kingfish hobo juckie (kingfish 2.0), Thursday, 17 November 2005 16:58 (twenty years ago)

hmmm. but then again. i really loved Silent Hill.
xpost

Ste (Fuzzy), Thursday, 17 November 2005 16:59 (twenty years ago)

Yeah, but horror games are horses of a different color (namely grey).

Laura H. (laurah), Thursday, 17 November 2005 17:13 (twenty years ago)

"Games" should look like CARTOONS.

"SIMULATIONS" can go ahead and look photorealistic whatevs like I care.

now I know why I've been so depressed since I finished Faxanadu

haw haws

TOMBOT, Thursday, 17 November 2005 17:30 (twenty years ago)

aw @ the background

tom west (thomp), Thursday, 17 November 2005 22:04 (twenty years ago)

I do enjoy San Andreas more when the sun is shining in-game. It's a lovely day for a slaying! Tra-la-la!

Jordan (Jordan), Friday, 18 November 2005 17:54 (twenty years ago)

Front Mission 4. It's awful.

s1ocki (slutsky), Friday, 18 November 2005 18:24 (twenty years ago)

Great, video games have a popjustice. *gag*

disco violence (disco violence), Friday, 18 November 2005 18:52 (twenty years ago)

UKR is nothing like popjustice!

Gravel Puzzleworth (Gregory Henry), Friday, 18 November 2005 19:03 (twenty years ago)

:D

Curt1s St3ph3ns, Sunday, 20 November 2005 03:21 (twenty years ago)

And Popjustice is great anyway!

Raw Patrick (Raw Patrick), Sunday, 20 November 2005 14:01 (twenty years ago)

Great if you don't pay attention to music made by black people

disco violence (disco violence), Sunday, 20 November 2005 15:24 (twenty years ago)

But it's about a very particular strand of UK pop! It features about as many black people as, say, Kerrang mag bcz that covers a particular area also.

Raw Patrick (Raw Patrick), Sunday, 20 November 2005 15:40 (twenty years ago)

Please, aren't there enough places on this server to have that argument already?

TOMBOT, Monday, 21 November 2005 14:42 (twenty years ago)

Never!

Raw Patrick (Raw Patrick), Monday, 21 November 2005 18:44 (twenty years ago)

Popjustice covers plenty of music made by black people, because plenty of black people make traditional british pop music. I'm not sure what your conception of "music made by black people" actually consists of, but it sounds more racist that PJ's, to me.

Agree with tom though really, this isn't the place. I just like popjustice a lot and don't want to see it cheaply sniped at.

JimD (JimD), Monday, 21 November 2005 20:18 (twenty years ago)

xxxxxxxxxxxxpost all this Popjustice stuff:
Oddly enough this makes a lot of sense.

Forksclovetofu (Forksclovetofu), Tuesday, 22 November 2005 00:32 (twenty years ago)

FLUXBLOG DOESN'T CARE ABOUT BLACK PEOPLE.

oh WOW, that cloud game is AMAZING!!! I think it's probably the most beautiful game (after Ico) I've ever seen. The music alone is fantastic!
