Children of Mana!!

So I just saw some recent screenshots for the upcoming DS game Children of Mana and I'm really excited. I bet they could improve the ring menu a lot with the touchscreen, so you wouldn't have to stop the game to cast a spell, for example. Has Nintendo talked about including wifi multiplayer in this? Because that would make it like 10x better.

one year passes...

i just started playing this, it seems aight so far. i never played secret of mana, but i played secret of evermore which is a straight classic imo, so i'm looking forward to getting into this. anyone else playing, what do you think?

evermore's completely unrelated to the seiken series, iirc. wikipedia tells me that they tacked on the "secret of..." to possibly boost sales, but it was originally called "evermore." no citation though.

isn't there a ps2 mana game coming out soon too?

it's was developed by square and built on the secret of mana engine and plays exactly like it, wikipedia "seiken denetsu" mouth breathers be hating.

is it two player like secret of mana? that'd be pretty tight. my flatmate is playing SoM right now and she's probably got 30 or 40 hours and hasn't beaten it, if that helps you. but she takes her time. logged well over 100 hours on ffvi a few months ago.

god Secret of evermore was so great. one of those games that you feel like disrespecting when you first start playing it but end up loving after a few hours.

CASTLEVANIA IS SO GOOD. At least Dawn of Sorrow is. Portrait of Ruin I ahven't had a chance to look at yet... perhaps after DoS which is amazing.

I bought Sword of Mana and it took 30 minutes to even start anything, and then the gameplay just drove me nuts. No more SquareEnix games hat aren't Dragon Quest-related, not for me.

Dragon Quest 9 is DS only tho...should be...something! I'm excited, anyway.
