Looks like otaku BS to me. You're desperate for an RPG, aren't you? Why don't you just, like, emulate every 16-bit RPG ever?

Ha, I bought this! The opening movie was Otaku BS but the game itself has promise.

You said on another thread that you have the 2.5 firmware. How did that happen?

I updated on October 3 without realizing that they had just broken the downgrader.

Hm, this seems good so far, but I really wish PSP had tv/out so I could play it at home better.

This is really easy early on but not always clear where to go since there is NO SEPARATE SCALE FOR OVERWORLD VS TOWNS/DUNGEONS which is awesome and Rogueist. Also, the battles take place on the walking around screen and terrain appears to play a large role. If this gets challenging, it will rule.

two weeks pass...
OK! I like this. The battles are beginning to get challenging. I think I leveled too much when I was wandering around looking for where to go next. I have a feeling this is going to be waaaay too short for my taste but it is pretty fun. The combat system is cool, but I hope there will be some staged battles that use the layout of obstacles to be purposefully interesting.

Plotwise, the game is like that awesome list of CRPG cliches come to life. A floating continent! A high tech city!

Ok, I beat the first game in it. So awesome. There's all kinds of crazy details like cats having litters of kittens as the plot progresses. Also, the sprites are A++. The veil of one of the female characters is amazing looking when she hugs the protagonist. on to Book 2!

It is the most twee RPG ever. Also, it is big on FAMILY VALUES.

Ok, there's these bad dudes called "the big 4" who turn up as big bosses in the last chapter of the first book. Their boss fight music is among the best boss fight music for RPGs.They all seem to me to look like demonic shit from doom or quake or something but dressed in various african cultures' robes
