With every successive level, I think it can't get more insane, and then it does. Mini-games are fantastic-- Pilotwings style landing game, dogfighting, billards, golf... and I still haven't unlocked about half of them. Actually worth the $8.50 it cost to rent from Blockbuster!
Even rolling up bananas inside the credits while avoiding the names and doubling in size with invincible stars could once have been a great game in and of itself.

It's a good game but not as good as Marble Madness or Katamari.

Also, it is way better than Marble Madness. Come on now. Just as much demanding precision, but with levels of a ridiculously higher caliber, far more varied and creative.
Also, where Katamari can be sort of mellow and meandering at times, Super Monkey Ball is pretty unrelentingly intense. It's like Katamari on cocaine.
