I had (still have) every issue of Nintendo Power from issue #1 up to the first 5/6 years. Actually I even had the pre-Nintendo Power newsletter for a bit. But I had all the Nintendo Power POSTERS in a shoebox that was somehow lost in a move. There were some real gems in that shoebox.

All my old NES games were handed down to younger cousins at some point. I was a big nerd and even kept all the original boxes + excellent conditioned manuals.

we still have a 2600 and a box full of NES stuff somewhere at my brother's place, i think.

i had 3-4 years worth of Computer Gaming World, and like 5 years of Nintendo Power. It was so great in the early years, with the zelda foldout poster/map. Zelda manga. etc.

I'd like to thank my ex-boyfriend at this point for stealing (among many, many other things) Secret of Mana, Super Bomberman, the four-way SNES controller hub, and two of the controllers after we broke up. I'd finished Secret of Mana by then, but Super Bomberman was a tough hit to take.

He didn't even have a SNES.

two months pass...
A few years ago, my mum picked up a box of almost every (if not every) Game and Watch ever, boxed and complete in a box for sometime silly like a tenner in the auction. A collector must have died or something.

She knew I'd want them, so didn't tell me until the day they sold for four figures on ebay. Thanks mum.

Blimey.

At least she knew enough to know they were worth money on ebay! My mum would've shoved them into a box in the garage or given them to the grandkids (who'd then have broken them like I did my DonkeyKong and Parachute)

Haha, that's what I tell myself in order to maintain the will to live.

I miss my Parachute *sobs quietly*. I think I might have had oil panic or something as well.

Trayce (trayce), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 04:25 (twenty years ago)

i still had oil panic until about a year ago. also, chef and that mickey mouse one where you collect the chicken eggs in the basket. my grandmother was a game and watch fiend. she kicked all of our asses at donkey kong and that brown donkey kong where you swing through the vines (dk jr maybe?). gaming must be in the blood. to this day my mom can can beat anyone at pro snowboarder. when her snowboarder crashes into a tree and screams 'AGHHHHHHHHHH!!!' she shouts at the tv 'GET UP YOU WUSS! GET UP!'
