People like this don't know gamers, and never will without a fist full of accusations. A lot of people cite things like Columbine (And Columbine-esque instances) and how they played Doom. First of all, many anti-game advocates talk about Doom as if without it, there wouldn't have been a shooting, failing to recognise that violent people play violent games as opposed to 'games make people violent'.

People like this piss me off. "Violent games make people more eager to kill!" is just such a simplistic view that these people probably think anyone who's rich had some sort of get rich quick scheme.

Again, video games scare the shit out of our parents. If you're old enough to have grown up before the atari 2600, you're still likely to look at them at some insidious thing, corrupting the minds of the nation's youth.

You know what the problem is? YOUNG PEOPLE. Let's get rid of them first.

It sucks that I'm too young to remember the idyllic, violence-free world of hand-holding and rainbows that existed before the advent of violent video games.
