I realize that it may seem like I am calling that guy a douche. But actually I am making an oblique reference to my belief that anybody who does localization for American audiences for Asian source material stands to learn a whole hell of a lot by watching several episodes of Most Extreme Elimination Challenge (formerly "Takeshi's Castle).

haha!

Hey, did anyone know that Working Designs officially went out of business this past December? I just found this out yesterday.

which crap was WD responsible for, again?

LUNAR was their cash cow. DRAGON FORCE was the only game of theirs I played that I actually liked. They were also behind the localization of the Saturn games IRON STORM (sucks hardcore), ALBERT ODESSY (sucks even more hardcore) and MAGIC KNIGHT RAYEARTH (twee Japanese schoolgirl bullshit that was delayed for three years due to licensing nonsense). They also did some shooters for PS2.

I know there are people who swear by the Lunar series but after playing some of their other games you kind of couldn't get me to play that game even if you covered it in $100 bills.

Dan (Otaku Nonsense) Perry (Dan Perry), Thursday, 2 February 2006 20:50 (nineteen years ago)

They also had that crazy ambient gun game or wahtever for PS1. Silvergun something? RADIANT SILVERGUN, was that it?

Will M. (Will M.), Friday, 10 February 2006 12:35 (nineteen years ago)

Maybe that wasn't WD. All I remember is reading a review that called the game "ambient" and really wanting to play it.

Will M. (Will M.), Friday, 10 February 2006 12:36 (nineteen years ago)

I think that was them. All I know is that their CEO used to roll onto rec.games.video.sega and make official announcements while acting like a 13-year-old boy.

Dan (Not Too Appealing) Perry (Dan Perry), Friday, 10 February 2006 14:24 (nineteen years ago)

radiant silvergun was by treasure.
