thank goodness. I spent so much time trying to unlock the New Hope level in the last one, and once I did, it was completely bogus.

goodbyesoberday (goodbyesoberday), Friday, 3 February 2006 21:59 (nineteen years ago)

I hope this comes out for old Xbox, not nu-Xbox (though GC or PS2 would be even better).

Jordan (Jordan), Friday, 3 February 2006 22:14 (nineteen years ago)

it'll probably hit all the platforms

Aye, nowhere near worth all the effort.

Even though it was kind of cool that you played as darth vader.

six months pass...
4 days to go!

- get in and out of vehicles
- ride creatures
- interchangeable character body parts
- 50 new characters + all your saved characters from the first game
- CHEWBACCA PULLING ARMS OFF. FUCK!
- VADER FORCE CHOKE. FUCK+

Onimo (GerryNemo), Thursday, 7 September 2006 10:48 (nineteen years ago)

Hah, for having a minimum wage job I get to rent this a week early!

It's v. fun, possibly the best Star Wars game I've played. Lots of tedious collecting nonsense, but I like that kind of thing. Cut scenes are hilarious, Chewie in a cowboy hat even more.

I never played the first one, but this is making me think I probably should.

melton mowbray's APOCALYPTO! (adr), Thursday, 7 September 2006 12:08 (nineteen years ago)

I hope the DS version is good.

Jordan (Jordan), Thursday, 7 September 2006 12:41 (nineteen years ago)

i'm tempted to get this, but someone should really stop me buying all these games at the moment.

is it not out for Xbox, i could only see it for 360 ?

kingfish prætor (kingfish 2.0), Sunday, 10 September 2006 22:23 (nineteen years ago)

The PS2 version is only £17.99 from play.com

kingfish prætor (kingfish 2.0), Wednesday, 13 September 2006 06:10 (nineteen years ago)

This = classic. Melton, the first was also very funny with the cutscenes, cutting largely against the Epic Scope of the story - Obi-Wan is played largely as a klutz.

Because I love rather than hate the original trilogy, the humour in this one seems more outrageous, really "Oh no they didn't!". But then I'm only two missions in, the second one takes FOREVER.

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Wednesday, 13 September 2006 14:57 (nineteen years ago)

Should I get the DS or the GC version of this?! I'd rather play on DS, but don't want to feel like I'm missing out on things.

Jordan (Jordan), Wednesday, 13 September 2006 14:59 (nineteen years ago)

GC one will probably have about everything for sure, and then get the DS one used

kingfish prætor (kingfish 2.0), Wednesday, 13 September 2006 16:15 (nineteen years ago)

Just realized this will probably be one of the last of the GC games. Not sure why, but this saddens me.

WHATEVER, BRING ON TEH WIIII.

I got this for DS because they were all out of the GC version. I think it has some camera and tech issues, but it's still pretty fun. Maybe I'll rent the console version after I'm done.

Jordan (Jordan), Friday, 15 September 2006 13:12 (nineteen years ago)

i've played this for the past couple of days, not as impressed with it as I thought I would be. and it keeps crashing on my pc for no apparent reason.

Ste (Fuzzy), Wednesday, 20 September 2006 07:32 (nineteen years ago)

the DS version, what I played of it, did not seem so good (and it is notoriously glitchy)

s1ocki (slutsky), Thursday, 21 September 2006 17:20 (nineteen years ago)

(sorry jordan)

s1ocki (slutsky), Thursday, 21 September 2006 17:20 (nineteen years ago)

The PS2 version is great and everyone in my house is obsessed with it.

polyphonic (polyphonic), Thursday, 21 September 2006 17:25 (nineteen years ago)

Yeah, I'll probably beat the standard mode with an hour's worth of play and not bother doing any of the extra stuff, then rent the console version.

Too bad no reviews had come out on the DS version when I bought it!

Jordan (Jordan), Thursday, 21 September 2006 17:26 (nineteen years ago)

Too bad no reviews had come out on the DS version when I bought it!

well now there's your problem

kingfish prætor (kingfish 2.0), Thursday, 21 September 2006 17:57 (nineteen years ago)

I've got the PS2 version and I'm impressed so far, though I've only played through a half dozen levels. Basically it's more of the same but with a few nice extra bits.

I seem to keep getting Double Dragon syndrome, you know when you can't help hitting your team mate by accident then making a half arsed apology knowing that he's going to hit you back by accident first chance he gets?

Onimo (GerryNemo), Thursday, 21 September 2006 19:06 (nineteen years ago)

we called that "River City Ransom-itis", only you can use chains on each other

kingfish prætor (kingfish 2.0), Thursday, 21 September 2006 19:07 (nineteen years ago)

Man, I really want to play some TMNT/RCR/DD style team beatem ups when I get Wii

rock u like a § (ex machina), Thursday, 21 September 2006 19:26 (nineteen years ago)

The PS2 version has a TON of unlockable things that are awesome.

polyphonic (polyphonic), Thursday, 21 September 2006 20:37 (nineteen years ago)

Are people still enjoying this? Finger hovering over "buy" button...

Kv_nol (Kv_nol), Wednesday, 4 October 2006 09:38 (nineteen years ago)

i ordered it for PS2 last week, not arrived yet :(
is it out in the UK yet? i ordered it in a big batch of stuff that i KNEW wasn't released, and purposefully didn't check the release dates, so that i got a string of SURPRISES in the mail. it's been fun, i've been getting something new every 5 days or so, and it's always a mystery! like christmas every week!

i am a twat.

teh_kit (g-kit), Wednesday, 4 October 2006 09:40 (nineteen years ago)

I've got it - stole it for PC, bought it for PS2 because I wanted to give some money to the people who made it. It's absolutely fantastic, a labour of love on behalf of everyone, and the kind of love that isn't afraid to laugh at its object.

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Wednesday, 4 October 2006 09:49 (nineteen years ago)

Oh this is so being bought. Fuck an online order, Game doing it cheap so I'll buy it from there. I never was any good at the whole game theft, stupid alcohol thingy :)

Kv_nol (Kv_nol), Wednesday, 4 October 2006 10:06 (nineteen years ago)

Fucking hell :(

Kv_nol (Kv_nol), Wednesday, 4 October 2006 10:23 (nineteen years ago)

Cancel the order, get it delivered next day from somewhere else.

Onimo (GerryNemo), Wednesday, 4 October 2006 11:03 (nineteen years ago)

Bloody GAME, they gave me the wrong price. Still, only €45 so can't complain. Well, I can but that would be unbecoming! The person behind the counter did claim to be stupid so I was mollified...

Kv_nol (Kv_nol), Wednesday, 4 October 2006 11:48 (nineteen years ago)

This game is fucking brilliant. The end.

Kv_nol (Kv_nol), Thursday, 5 October 2006 10:20 (nineteen years ago)

I just started the first one!

I know how to fall down a pit better than anyone, this is a fact.

TOMBOT (TOMBOT), Friday, 6 October 2006 15:19 (nineteen years ago)

hoorah, it arrived this morning.

teh_kit (g-kit), Monday, 9 October 2006 07:06 (nineteen years ago)

I played this until two in the morning. I then had dreams in Lego. Really cool/weird. I have finished all the missions and am now just redoing them to get all the gear. So cool. Hurry up kit so I can get spoiler-ing!!!

Kv_nol (Kv_nol), Monday, 9 October 2006 09:06 (nineteen years ago)

three years pass...

haha this game is ace, and so funny.
i was quite curious how they were going to tackle the trench battle, but I was impressed.

I think Lego Star Wars: The Clone Wars was announced at E3? Although I guess not many people cared.
