This seems to have slipped out without any reviews, I remember seeing mixed reviews of the other console versions, does anyone know if the GBA version is any good?

I was gutted the GameCube version wasn't released here in the UK as it's technically the best out of the home console versions.

Really? I'll get it tomorrow. I was under the impression it was a flash game ported to Playstation a la Yeti Games. I am an idiot.

How does it compare to Viewtiful Joe, which I am playing at the moment on Gamecube? (it looks quite similar)

Viewtiful Joe is more complex in terms of gameplay and graphics, but Hominid is much funnier and more fun, in my opinion. Hominid is essentially just Contra with fun graphics, but it is a total blast to play and really awesome and replayable.

According to some comments on Gamespot, the GBA version is missing some of the levels and most of the minigames.
