Scores must be there for a reason, so I was thinking we should have a high score competition on something. This is the thread where we come to a decision about what that something is.
It doesn't matter whether we'd be playing it on emulation or the real machine, but obviously it'd be better to pick something older and fairly common so we can all have a shot at playing it (Megadrive/Genesis, SNES, NES, Master System, Gameboy?).
I'm sure we're all mature enough not to cheat, so you don't need to prove your scores or anything, though a screenshot of the emulator or photo of the telly wouldn't go amiss. It'd be handy if the game had a "hi-score" display at the top of the screen or a high score table too, to make taking a photo/screenshot a little bit easier.
So, list games here and I'm sure we'll come to an agreement eventually.
I pick:
Ms Pac-Man (Megadrive)
Tetris - # of lines in A mode (Gameboy)
Outrun (Megadrive)
Double Dragon (NES)
(Note: I am rubbish at all of these)

This is a GREAT idea! No games spring to mind, but I'll ponder on it. It reminds me though, did anyone ever beat my yoshi circuit time trial time on the MKDS thread? If not, then I definitely nominate that to start with. :)

Well, if we do a megadrive/snes/sms/nes game you could emulate I suppose! I thought best not to do games that retail for big money.

Looking at the two photos, only about an hour apart, it got dark really quickly!
