- NHL 2K7 (tho I took a break after handing out a 10-3 shellacking)
- Just Cause (ehh; looks cool enough, but I'm not in the mood for a GTA-type of thing; driving is a bitch as well)
- Prey (awesome!)
- Marvel: Ultimate Alliance (super awesome!)

Neverwinter Nights

Whoof Vague-o-Rama (noodle vague), Wednesday, 8 November 2006 18:07 (eighteen years ago)

polyp, how's THE SHOW?

Actually, I think it's the best baseball game I've played. The stats are really deep, the gameplay is solid, and it's really quite fun. I have some qualms with a number of things, as any sanctimonious baseball fan would, but it's all overlookable.

The Franchise mode lets you do things like allocate funding for scouting and picking out individual scouts with particular strengths and weaknesses for particularly rich/fallow regions. I installed a "What's Your Pitching Speed" booth in Petco, which is operating at a handsome profit. Also, I just traded Walter Young for Frank Thomas!

I've always been an EA guy with respect to sports stuff, but that seems to have changed in the last few years.

BATTLE FOR WESNOTH

roc u like a ยง (ex machina), Wednesday, 8 November 2006 18:28 (eighteen years ago)

I havent been able to get too deep into the show. I basically spend all my time playing career mode trying to hit home runs. I had to get my car serviced the other Friday and wasted 5 hours doing this. For some reason my thumb is still fucked up.

Other than that I've been playing Warcraft 3. Also thinking about getting one of the new systems since I have no games queued up after that and have discretionary income. Should I get a 360 or should I just get a new PC?

Stuh-du-du-du-du-du-du-denka (jingleberries), Wednesday, 8 November 2006 19:07 (eighteen years ago)

still, jon?

Gravel Puzzleworth (Gregory Henry), Wednesday, 8 November 2006 19:18 (eighteen years ago)

I basically spend all my time playing career mode trying to hit home runs.

I played career mode for awhile but ultimately found it joyless. Much more fun for me to play the franchise mode.

polyphonic (polyphonic), Wednesday, 8 November 2006 19:20 (eighteen years ago)

Nothin'. Waiting for that new Castlevania DS game I guess.

Jordan (Jordan), Wednesday, 8 November 2006 19:45 (eighteen years ago)

Killer 7. I'm totally baffled by it so far. Which is great.

diebold with a vengeance (nickalicious), Wednesday, 8 November 2006 20:33 (eighteen years ago)

I suck at that game. Are you playing on KIDS or ADULTS mode?

Marmot (marmotwolof), Wednesday, 8 November 2006 20:45 (eighteen years ago)

I couldn't get past the guy who kept shouting DWAYNE PATTERSON or whatever the hell his name was.

polyphonic (polyphonic), Wednesday, 8 November 2006 20:46 (eighteen years ago)

Playing ADULT mode. Maybe should try on KID. Yes he is shouting Dwayne Patterson, I think that's his name.

diebold with a vengeance (nickalicious), Wednesday, 8 November 2006 21:43 (eighteen years ago)

Defending or attacking?

Whoof Vague-o-Rama (noodle vague), Thursday, 9 November 2006 18:37 (eighteen years ago)

Crimson Skies and Fallout:Brotherhood of Steel on Xbox. How did I miss these earlier on. PHUN!

John Justen will insert a ship in your cat for no additional fee (johnjusten), Thursday, 9 November 2006 19:52 (eighteen years ago)

attacking. I've been playing for four hours and Syracuse refuses to crack.

xpost to Whoof

lk (lawrence kansas), Thursday, 9 November 2006 20:06 (eighteen years ago)

And I'll probably suck at defending when the time comes but this game is pretty great.

lk (lawrence kansas), Thursday, 9 November 2006 20:21 (eighteen years ago)

Fallout is donkey doo! You'll only disappoint yourself.

David R. (popshots75`), Thursday, 9 November 2006 20:53 (eighteen years ago)

I AM RIGHT AND I KNOW IT TOO

David R. (popshots75`), Thursday, 9 November 2006 20:53 (eighteen years ago)

Fallout:BS is deeply hated by fans of the earlier Fallout games (I haven't played it)

a.b. (alanbanana), Thursday, 9 November 2006 20:58 (eighteen years ago)

I've played the earlier ones, and they're much better, but the humor is at least partially intact, and its working out so far as a dumbed down hilbilly cousin, which means it's pretty much on par with the intellectual level you can expect from xbox development.

John Justen will insert a ship in your cat for no additional fee (johnjusten), Thursday, 9 November 2006 22:23 (eighteen years ago)

I'll probably hook up my Saturn and play Lunar: Silver Star Story soon.
I like imports.

The GZeus (The GZeus), Friday, 10 November 2006 00:43 (eighteen years ago)

Oh God, you didn't get the Working Designs translation, did you? Their CEO was a big cock.

The Android Cat (Dan Perry), Friday, 10 November 2006 00:45 (eighteen years ago)

"....imports."

The GZeus (The GZeus), Friday, 10 November 2006 01:05 (eighteen years ago)

Yes, I can read; I was making sure I understood what you were saying.

Fuck Working Designs.
