I've just bought the game for a mates birthday present, but he'll need a joystick to play it properly won't he?

Any decent cheapish recommendations ilgors can give me?

(for PC btw)

Sorry, can't help - I haven't had a PC Joystaff since... TIE-Fighter. Do you still have to do the calibration with analogue sticks, or have we evolved beyond that now?

haha same here, loved tie fighter!, the last thing i played though was xwing alliance which was also fucking brilliant. rubbish with no joystick though.

also are there actually any multiplayer flight sims out there?

Again, I'm SO out of touch - last one I played was Air Warrior. Long live 1997!

OMG Air Warrior!

well, thanks anyway. ive gone with the quantra evo or something. i refuse to buy the 'Thrustmaster', purely because of the name.

right i just read the back of the game box and it says you can play this online, so why isn't this advertised on Amazon? and why did my mate say it wasn't an online game?

great though.

well i just played it with the new joystick, its' superb. game looks a little dated but plays great fun. the joystick is amazing, so many buttons and a 'view stick' on the stick too. the throttle stick doesn't seem to do anything tho.

i'll try the online play tonight

nineteen years pass...

I'm asking here because trying to work it out from Reddit or the general internet is giving me a nervous breakdown, but if I want a controller that works on

- A Switch 1
- A Macbook Pro (for streaming games and Steam)
- An iPAd (for streaming games and apps)

...is there one that covers those bases? I'm thinking the old Switch Pro controller seems the most likely. But it's hard to tell!

I hear that Switch controllers are finicky with apple systems and only work well when wired.
