Did anyone ever actually make a RPG using RPG Maker 1, 2 or 3?

Did anyone ever make a good one? Is there some sort of renowned awesome homemade RPG that you can download? I don't even have the game, I'm just curious.

I sort of tried to make one with RPG Maker 3, on PS2. I worked at a videogame store, so I borrowed the game and the keyboard for a night. I originally planned on spending at least a few nights on it, but we only had one tv, and everyone tired of watching me attempt to learn some sort of retarded coding language about an hour and a half into it. So I only spent about 3 hours on it, total. Yes, I kept going for another few hours after everyone got sick of watching me do it. I don't remember much about the story other than it was obviously about the legendary man-boy with the largest genitalia in the planet, and you are that legendary man-boy, but you don't realize it. The story was going to go places from there, but I never had time to develop it.

I illegally downloaded RPG Maker 2000 for PC. I wasted many months (read: years) of my life dreaming of things I would do with it that I never actually got around to doing with it.

I didn't waste that much time, but otherwise I did the same.

In the '80s I used to play a "Create Your Own Adventure Game" thing on the Apple //c. It was a lot of fun, you'd place objects and enemies on maps and run around dealing with them, but it ran slow as hell.

If I had no life, I would learn to code modules in Neverwinter Nights.

Can neverwinter nights be adapted to run any d20 framework stuff?

I always wanted to get one of these and make retarded FF versions of Burroughs and PKD.

I'm going off memory, but yeah, I'm almost sure there is for PS2. Actually, in retrospect, I had a lot of fun, and I would have had even more fun if no one else was around wanting the TV I was using. RPG Maker 3's downfall was that it was so SERIOUS. They didn't understand that there was a segment of people who would play the game that didn't want burly men with large axes and long blonde hair as the hero. If I had designed the game, a hot dog would be a possible weapon, and then you could modify it's length, color, limp, medium, or hard, and so on. But no. It was more of a choice between the broad sword, battle-axe, or long bow. Booooo...

I did make a few short games in my BASIC class in 8th grade that were pretty decent.

zach's first post about having only one tv and everyone not wanting to watch him be creative on it makes me sad

Not me, but I appreciate the work done in Super Columbine Massacre RPG! and Barkley: Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden (though that got ported to Game Maker later).

I've been doing some 2D platformer tutorials using Unity 3D and made my first 'game' from nothing in about 2-3 hours. It is VERY easy to use! Anyone here ever try one of these game makers? I've been downloading Muybridge photo studies and chopping them up for sprite sheets. Unity seems like the way to go because you can export your game for pretty much every modern platform from PCs to Macs to current-gen consoles and mobile!

Unity is amazingly easy yeah. I've knocked up stuff in stupidly short amounts of time.
