Are there any Wii games that deal with adult themes like death, literature or starvation

I've got Madworld and Disaster: Day of Crisis lying around at home unplayed - I'm hopefully moving my wii onto my Big Gaming TV this weekend then I'll have a go at Adult Themes like killing with guns & stuff (for about five minutes then I'll put Mario on).

the new mario looks amazing :_(
― leck mich im arshavin (cozen), Friday, 21 May 2010 10:54 (fifteen years ago)
Trauma Team is really good btw, except for the Endoscopy section where they really screwed up the controls - luckily though you can skip any sections you don't want to play. the Forensics section is kind of like Phoenix Wright with Persona 4 graphics - probably woould bore a lot of people but i love it. oh and there's lots of death, how 'adult'.

suck many dicks, Nintendo
― XBOX BING GOATSE (jamescobo), Thursday, 30 June 2011 02:40 (fourteen years ago)
what games are they talking about?
― Lamp, Thursday, 30 June 2011 04:21 (fourteen years ago)
Xenoblade, The Last Story, and Pandora's Tower. what really sucks is that Xenoblade's actually getting a European release, so it's already been translated into English but Nintendo's just like NOPE JUST BUY ZELDA
― XBOX BING GOATSE (jamescobo), Thursday, 30 June 2011 05:24 (fourteen years ago)
1. netflix streaming in the room where my xbox isnt2. glad this isnt a POX.
― lemon kerrang! (jjjusten), Thursday, 30 June 2011 05:50 (fourteen years ago)
i mean those games look p good and all but i feel like nintendo of america is probably less 'just buy zelda' than 'only 20 ppl purchased muramasa the demon blade but everyone who did went out and bought a psp'
― Lamp, Thursday, 30 June 2011 05:56 (fourteen years ago)
they should just do them in limited numbers then. gouge the nerds, me included.
― XBOX BING GOATSE (jamescobo), Thursday, 30 June 2011 06:20 (fourteen years ago)
gaf meltdowns have been entertaininggetting xenoblade though, best jrpg this gen going by jp reviews
― zappi, Thursday, 30 June 2011 09:34 (fourteen years ago)
nah the thing is that Nintendo could easily just sell off the NA rights, Atlus would probably take it off their hands easy
lamp probably right, tho
― Nhex, Thursday, 30 June 2011 13:22 (fourteen years ago)
lamp definitely right.

Nintendo discontinues GC compatability in all new models of the Wii: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-08-17-nintendo-discontinuing-current-wii-model
― the tingly effervesence of a thousand tiny butterfly farts (jamescobo), Wednesday, 17 August 2011 19:29 (fourteen years ago)
That's kind of shitty though I guess I never really did play too many of my old GC gamesI did like the idea that one Nintendo system could essentially play every Nintendo game though
― frogbs, Wednesday, 17 August 2011 21:21 (fourteen years ago)
where's my Xenoblade, postman :/current metacritic of 91 btw

finally found a good USB adapter for the Classic Controller!
http://www.amazon.com/WII-CLASSIC-CONTROLLER-PC-USB-Nintendo/dp/B003711698/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top
works great w/ emulators, indie platformers like Cave Story/La Mulana/Iji, etc.

think I'll probably finish Super Mario Galaxy in the next few goes when I get some free weekend time
is SMG2 worth getting myself for Christmas then?

― little mushroom person (abanana), Tuesday, 23 August 2011 04:44 (fourteen years ago)
poo: Okami, for sure, even despite some of the really annoying bits where the brush strokes don't register.
So is there any news about whether or not GC games will make it onto the Virtual Console? GC was truly my least-used Nintendo console ever, but there are still a few games worth playing on it. Wind Waker, Eternal Darkness... and I have a soft spot for Tony Hawk 3...
― salsa shark, Thursday, 25 August 2011 20:53 (fourteen years ago)
sadly I doubt they will - they could definitely make them available on the WiiU VC, but without GC controller ports (phased out in the latest model of the Wii, hard to imagine that they'd bring them back for the WiiU) they'd be all but unplayable. sic transit gloria Thousand Year Door.

Anyone here play Monster Hunter? Got Tri and it makes me feel like a million bucks.
― abcfsk, Thursday, 29 September 2011 19:18 (fourteen years ago)
finally finished Xenobladebest JRPG in years, seriouslyjust does so many simple things right (save anywhere, instant travel almost everywhere, simple but fun combat system, no forcing of who is in your party, exp awarded for exploring the vast areas (which load incredibly quickly, some serious voodoo going on here), not having to return to 90% of quest givers etc etc)
negatives? it's pretty enough until models etc are close up and then things look terrible. this only really comes into play during cutscenes which are all in-engine, then the textures & low poly counts become really obvious. the english dub is very uneven, after a while it does take on a campy charm but the repetition of lines during battles can be very wearing. the story is pretty good for a JRPG but, well that's one hell of a qualifier - its a JRPG dood.
