[RPG Tabletop] Dead of Night: Has Anyone Played It?

Read some descriptions of a Steampower Publishing Indie game called Dead of Night (url here: http://www.steampowerpublishing.co.uk/don.htm) and it looks really cool. Apparently the players get Survival points for reenacting teen exploitation horror tropes - like running away from the killer while wearing high heels, or going down to the basement after the lights go out, etc.

Anyway, general question: Has anyone here played many indie RPGs? (I guess what they call narrative collaborative tabletop games, or something pretentious like that.) And has anyone played Dead of Night? I'd like to check it out, but it costs $20, and I'd rather playtest through a game of it before spending money on it. (I know. I'm poor. Lolz.)

i've played it once while v. v. drunk - it seemed more laboured than anything there were too many rules and exceptions to those rules but then again: drunk.

two weeks pass...

I so want to play this. I have a huge craving to RP teen-exploitation flicks. It sounds like so much fun.
