New patched release version thing might be better but yeah wait and see I guess. Operation Flashpoint is the other big sandbox realistic military campaign sim but that ain't out till November.

seems a little over dramatic, not sure i could compare my BF3 experience with a real life situation.
For instance, there's little punishment for death (in most games these days). My kill death ratio is atrocious, but only because i know i won't lose points for dieing, but at least i'll incur damage on that damn dug in camper with my suicide run.
