Mostly because I play through a shit ton of games very fast via gamefly/rcoffcoff4/borrow from friends/buyin' and I don't always care enough to create a whole new thread.
I know, I know: get a blog.

Anyways, at the moment it's been desktop defense on the G1 phone, MK vs DC on the Xbox, Windosill on the PC, de Blob on Wii and Lock's Quest before the DS busted and had to be sent back to customer service.

1 vs. 100 for about three hours. This shit is awesome, but frustrating: I want to know where I rank in everybody playing, not just the four people in my little group! I need more granular stats otherwise (as no one can hang with superpubquiz top twenty) the whole thing feels a little pointless.

You gotta play the live games, dude. It makes it less pub quiz, more game show, and even though you're basically in the audience forever, it adds a cool dynamic.

Treasure World is neat; very animal crossing + monster rancher by way of wifi.

don't understand half the weapon customisation pfaff but know the game is great

atlus have some easy to understand tutorials on their yt page

DS: Started playing the first Advance Wars DS, I think I need to get past the "Golly gee, we're playing a strat game!" story horseshit and get into the meat. There's plentiful stats, but I can't quite get the hang of the "when can i shoot? what's my range?" base questions just yet. Even so, everything in the first eight mission is S or A scoring, so I assume I'm in the right direction. I guess I'm gonna try to see this thing through; it's the story that's giving me pause. Also the icons are so damn small...

Wii: Punch Out is a spectacular nostalgia bomb, just slightly off from the original enough that it doesn't feel solely like a retread. Learning curve on the later guys is wonderfully constructed; my first few matches against soda popinski I couldn't get a punch in even once but I eventually got into the timing. The voices and animations are great; choosing to do indigenous languages for all the characters is a good call. Old school NES controls are super natural, though waggle-your-arms-around action is unsurprisingly retarded. PvP is HELLA FUN though it's more or less just a more complicated series of rock/paper/scissors, so it may get tired soon. Long load times though and no 'BODY BLOW! BODY BLOW!'... and why did they put a gay kid from Brooklyn in this thing as early cannon fodder? Shades of bruno.
I also tried <A href="http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/wii/roogoo";>Roogoo Twisted Towers</a>, which sucks.

360: 1 vs 100 feels weirdly incomplete, so I drug out the orange box with the intention of trying Half Life 2, which I only played the first stage of about a year ago and then got distracted by Portal. holy fuck this game is good. I lost four or five hours tonight and it was love once I got to the hoverboat. I can't believe I haven't played it before now and I am super psyched to really dig into it. It's a feast!

girlfriend loves Treasure World btw. we both wish there was a game there, but it's fun to walk around the neighborhood and get tiger heads and chess pieces for your little homunculus to play with. The constant dinging reminds you of how fuckin' wired NYC and NJ really are. We get about 150 new connections on virtually every trip into the city.

I don't think I even made it to the 8th stage in AW:DS... the story and - I hate to say it - color scheme just sucked all the will I had to play it anymore - this was after leaving it on the shelf for six months sealed and unopened, very disappointed

Punch Out is indeed fucking spectacular tho!

I actually just played HL2 for the first time a few months ago too, so I know the feeling of "wow, why did I wait this long to play this"

iirc Forks if you hold the B button when your pointer is over one of your units it will show the range of the unit.

The other day a friend of mine triple surprised me when he i)revealed that he occasionally plays GBA, ii)owned Advance Wars and iii)wanted to play me.

I thought I was all Advance War'd out, but I had never played against a human opponent. Rrrrreally fun.

will try the b button trick; would greatly increase my enjoyment.
I just figured out that I've been trying to use artillery as a tank and duh, that ain't working.

B button is essential, otherwise you'd go nuts remembering artillery/missle/anti-air ranges and stuff

I still have nothing but love for AW2 - maybe I'll go back to Days of Ruin someday

100% agree with this. I personally woulnd't even bother with dual screen, it's the only one I didn't complete because I just didn't find it very much fun.

Beat Dawn of Sorrow; I think I might've beaten it once before? LOLtravania; it's hard to tell them apart.

I'm about halfway through Dragon Quest Slime Warrior or whatever and it is loads of fun, if remedial.

tried the DS kingdom hearts for six "days", found it really difficult for combat... too much going on in such a tiny screen.
gonna try shiren the wanderer instead.

Very likely gonna try Shadow Complex and Pixeljunk Shooter afore too long.

Got nowhere with Osmosis, stalled out on Torchlight and Valkyria Chronicles, never clicked with Dragon Age and never got further than the first ten minutes of Fossil fighters.

I really wanted Dark Void to be good because I loved Crimson Skies on the original xbox. But all the comments and reviews put me off checking it out.

Glitch... lots of glitch. I got an iPad and that has become my primary gaming device. Current du jour there is pathpix, amazing breaker, risk, dice soccer, groove coaster with literally dozens on tap
i have sfiv and Ocarina of time waiting for me on 3ds and a slew of console games but no time to play them!
Preordered dark souls and skyrim. The summer is really about me being out doing work moreso than playing. I shoehorn in whatever time i can.

lots of glitch though.
