Apple ][ games that were dope

so basically when i was a pup my dad bought this used apple II+ with all these disks of pirated games and me & my brother had to figure out how to use it and how to run the games and how to even play them... it was hours of entertainment and intrigue and nothing in my gaming life has ever come close, it is totally what got me into fuckin' around with computers in the first place.

this screenshot sucks but CAVERNS OF CALLISTO was dope

KARATEKA

it always seemed that the games had so much potential if i could just figure them out... like they all held out the promise of being the ultimate secret super-game that was more complex and fascinating and world-encompassing than anything else i ever played.

in middle school if you got thru your lesson in typing class early you could boot up a game -- karateka was basically it. i can't even remember the other ones, probably arcade copies like space invaders etc

Was it sabotage? The one where you shoot little parachute guys and if you miss too many they climb on top of each other and destroy your base? Other than that, Space Invaders.
