Gears of War for PC shown.
Ugly ass Halo Edition 360 console that nobody wants shown.
Mario Kart Wii w/steering wheel shown.

They also showed Rock Band for 360 in action, looks fun but expensive. (It's like Guitar Hero plus bass, drums and vocals)

New Call of Duty and Assassin's Creed great looking, new Halo 3 footage kind of underwhelming.

New PSP model, slimmer, lighter, longer battery life, high quality video output for playing games and movies on your TV. New Ice Silver color and white Star Wars model with Darth Vader on the back also shown.

that wii balance board would be kinda useful for tony hawk, ssx blur etc
psp redesign is somewhat lacking on first impressions though

New MGS4 trailer ridiculously awesome.

Sony conference by far the best of the three. I'll be buying a PS3 as soon as some of these exclusives hit.

I wonder how much longer the battery life on the newish psp will be? i like that it's lighter & really like the output to tv - which would be great for travel / hotels / etc. I wonder/worry about how some of those games will look blown up tho - will they even be playable, or will things look too blurry?

wii fitness looks stupid as does their racing wheel (cool if I was 4), but I'm excited for mario cart with online play - supposedly for quite a few racers too. that would be fun. the zapper thing seemed ok, but I don't know if it'll add much from just holding the two parts in your hand seperately...

i do agree that somehow the upcoming ps3 games seem the most exciting - possibly because they showed more of what has been up their sleeves - but won't be coming out for some time yet - while microsoft stuck to 2007. I want to hear more about the sandbox superhero/supervillian one!

wii fitness looks stupid

wii fitness looks like $$$$$ for nintendo

apparently theres a new golden sun game for ds. hooray!

zappi, Thursday, 12 July 2007 13:31 (eighteen years ago)

Katamari for 360 looks exactly like Katamari for PS2. Or is it that I'm jus used to HD graphics now?

antexit, Thursday, 12 July 2007 14:11 (eighteen years ago)

but I'm excited for mario cart with online play - supposedly for quite a few racers too. that would be fun

- only if they take out that damn neverending drift boost! The entire reason I bought my DS a few months ago was so that I could play Mario Kart online. That turned out to be fun for about 5 minutes, until I realized that these wackass little kids had figured out how to boost during the entire race, by drifting like a snake at all times, even during straightaways. It completely took the fun out of the game.

Z S, Thursday, 12 July 2007 17:04 (eighteen years ago)

...or maybe I'm just mad because I'm not good at doing the neverending snake drift boost myself.

Z S, Thursday, 12 July 2007 17:04 (eighteen years ago)

No, me too Z S. I try and play w/ people who don't do it whenever possible.

Will M., Thursday, 12 July 2007 18:58 (eighteen years ago)

Fucking snakers.

schwantz, Friday, 13 July 2007 18:36 (eighteen years ago)

The Wii steering wheel has a button on the bottom just for that move.

marmotwolof, Friday, 13 July 2007 18:47 (eighteen years ago)

The thing I learned the most from this year's e3 coverage is that there are a hell of a lot of games coming out over the next six months that I REALLY want to play. Honestly, I don't know how I'm going to find the time for even half of the stuff I know about already that looks amazing.
