Am I a horrible person in that I don't like any of the PixelJunk games thus far? I don't get their acclaim AT ALL.

I thought Eden was a really good game for when you're too stoned to play Peggle.

I might - just might - tolerate Eden without the soundtrack. Maybe. Probably not though.

I liked Eden initially but got bored with it long before beating it. Monsters, on the other hand, is easily the best tower defense game I've ever played and if you don't like it u a doodoochaser

I really like the style and feel of both Monsters and Eden. I've never beat either, but have really enjoyed the hours and hours I've spent with both. The racing game was pretty garbage, though I liked the concept. Shooting looks very much my style as I like flying around shooting things and rescuing little people Defender style. It seems like a combination of Eden's atmosphere with a little more of a puzzle emphasis? I'm hopeful!

My one problem with Eden was the structure - the way you had to had to go back over and over to each world. It would have been so much better if you could have had the possibility to get all five dudes on your first go, and only had to go back to the world if you weren't able to complete it. It got far too repetitive in the way it forced you to visit each world at least five times.

The "fun" of tower defense games completely escapes me. Always thought Missile Command was shit too.

ok this game is really good so far, if a bit easy. have only cleared the first area though.

ditto, the fluid-dynamic stuff is REALLY well done too

what is with the music in this game? it's ok ackground music but occasionally there are like vocal samples that make NO sense in the context of the game, like a guy saying "if you're in the music industry and you make any money you're a sellout / sellout-sellout-sellout"

Pixeljunk often just get artists to make a complete soundtrack to their games by only giving the composer a rough idea of the themes and pace of the games.

So the soundtrack can be taken as a separate entity. just imagine you're listening to some 90's Ninja Tune album and it all makes sense.

some of the speed scores for the levels in this game are insane. I am a full minute over the fastest score and I have no way of knowing how to get any faster

Probably has something to do with identifying what four dudes to kill instead of save and how to kill them.

I looooove this game btw

this is especially fitting since one of the guys who did the soundtrack was in The Orb.

i like the music fine, it's just the vocal samples are wack and make no sense in the context of the game

If you are a spaceship and you value collecting diamonds over rescuing stranded intergalactic miners you're a sellout-sellout-sellout

the boss battles were fun, but damn this was short.
