Since licensed gaming has been around for 30 years, and Star Trek gaming for that much, which games(from mid 80s onward) of the ST universe seem worthwhile?
This posted sparked by seeing gameplay vids of Star Trek Online, then wondering if there were any decent ST tactical games, then playing Armada, then remembering the awesome ST arcade game(which the local retro barcade still needs)
So a list of worth ones:
the ray-traced ST one25th Anniversary(w/ full original cast audio)Armada
Anything else?

is A Final Unity worth hunting for? I remember when my family first got a modern computer in 1995 and, looking for games, I went to a store and unknowingly bought a DEMO for it.

i have fond memories of an old ms-dos star trek game. it was black & green, and the top pane had some kind of overhead view of where your ship was in relation to enemy ships, and the bottom one had a firing view. i think the crosshairs were in the middle and the enemy ships would slide around horizontally. any idea what game this was?

I don't remember Final Unity being worth it at all - didn't get too far in it. Sad because I think they bothered to get a bunch of the original actors for it?

D: Star Trek 25th Anniversary, aka "The Abitrary Inventory Puzzle Adventure!" Space combat was a mess too IIRC.

Anyone try Star Trek: Timelines? The mechanics are a little hard to understand right now, but I have Picard and just gave him some Earl Grey which seems to have leveled him up!

And MPQ crew, I expect some of you saw the ads for it too!

Did think that looked cool but trying gradually to wean off F2P addictions

It'll help replace MPQ! Yeah, it's no less addicting, but fortunately it has more time gated missions to force you away.

Also it's a hell of a lot less grinding than heroic events in mpq6.

Boy was I wrong about this!
Also it seems that at a certain point you really have to pay $$$ to keep expanding your roster. :I

But OTOH there was a mission to help reunite Bajoran refugees with each other and I sent Dukat in charge of the mission lol.
