I was in a guild once; our guild leader had a family. One friday night, he went "weird, my wife didn't make me dinner." Two days later he realized his wife had left him for playing too much WoW and taken his daughter. He eventually got custody and I think stopped playing WoW a while after.

I miss guilds because they were a good replacement for friends which I was low on at the time but it really is like swapping breakfast for slimfast.

A large subsection of my guild lives in my area (basically the ppl I followed when they bailed on our old guild) and we've never met up. They hang out together all the time but they're all, like, 10-15 years younger than me? NAGL for me, I think.
