Anybody else here interested in this unlicensed American football game? Since I don't really follow American football, the unlicensed aspect is actually kind of appealing as it will level the playing field. The lower camera angle and Euphoria tech (from GTA4, so every tackle is supposed to be unique) make the game look pretty exciting & lively. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like there will be a pre-release demo(?), so I'm definitely waiting on reviews, but hell - I'm hopeful - would enjoy an arcadey, unique, HD football game right about now. Game is out June 1st for ps3 and xbox 360. Thoughts?

I kind of think it looks terrible? The graphics and game speed seem significantly worse than Madden. I would try a demo I guess.

I agree that it would be easier to play for someone who doesn't know much about football, but actually this year's Madden is supposed to be radically simplified compared to previous versions in terms of how playcalling is handled.

I tried out the demo a couple of days ago, and for the most part enjoyed it... played through all the included tutorials and one (shortened) game. The animation system is great. The character design is kind of lifeless (you can't tell well player from another, so it's hard to identify with your guys / team & therefore feels a bit like a team of robots instead of players with unique personalities. The controls are good, sort of like an adapted version of skate's controls. The camera is neat - it's low and really pulls you into the game, but at the same time, that low camera makes it a little more confusing experience and maybe a little harder to play (it's a trade off that's probably worth it). While it seemed good to me, it didn't blow me away enough that I want to spend $50 US for it, unfortunately. Maybe also like skate, when/if a sequel comes out it will feel a little more like a fully realized game (for instance, there's apparently only 13 different stadiums included in the game, even though there are 60 teams).
