SSF2T, SFA3, and SF3TS all have a special place in my heart... I will pick 3rd strike though.

That footage certainly makes it seem like the game is a long ways away. I wonder why they decided to show it so early?

I'm definitely into the idea of bringing back a more simplified approach to fighting games - as I just don't have the time and focus to apply myself to to learning enough about Tekken/Soul Calibur/Virtua Fighter to be decent. I'd like to see the Karate Champ remake, honestly...

There's also a video of King of Fighters XII from AOU 2008. A game with hi-def 2D sprites, all redrawn, and 3D backgrounds and effects. However, the video quality doesn't give the game justice. I also think they aren't done drawing all the sprites (hence the 2009 release date). Still, I'm sure this game will blow Street Fighter 4 out of the water.

I have to admit, the new SF IV footage looks better than I thought it would. I still find the realistic 3D/cartoony animation hybrid to be bizarre, though. I'm a lot more psyched to see it in person now than I was before.

That KOF footage looks damn sweet, too.
