so im finally playing an actual game on the xbox360 i got back in may. why does it keep asking me to reconnect my controller every ten seconds.

also, why are the buttons and sticks on the controller so lame? i wonder if some wacky company makes a controller shaped like a ps2 controller for xbox?

For the first question: either there's something wrong with the controller, or perhaps your wireless controller's battery is dead? This isn't something that ever happens to me unless my battery is dying.

How are the buttons lame? What's wrong with them?

It might be the battery dying. I cant see game sites at work but I'll check that link out later. THX

Lame buttons - theyre assymetical and the tension is really odd. maybe ill get used to it.

I don't mind the buttons - it's whenever I have to use the d-pad that I curse the controller. I do like the sticks, triggers, and bumpers tho. I don't like having to recharge batteries all the time (or switch 'em out in the middle of a game), but I guess I prefer it to having cords everywhere (but I have cords everywhere anyway).

had this problem too when I first got mine. tried all the trouble-shooting tips, turned out the batteries it came with are just crap.

The best thing I bought was the dual battery charger. I have three battery packs for two controllers. I always have one that's charged up, and it's fucking great to not have to deal with cords.

It's true that the d-pad is a MAJOR pissoff on the 360. I didn't notice that it annoyed me until you mentioned it. It's not a problem when there are just actions assigned to it, but for the very few games these days where you need it to move (I only use it for Puzzle Fighter and other single-space-moving puzzly games) it is a major pissoff. However, I think the fact that the analog sticks are a little further apart than on the dualshock is more comfortable.
