3D games? No?

Just got one of these things. Wipeout HD in 3D is a revelation. There's something ever-so-slightly more exhilarating about fanging down a hyperfuturistic neon halftube when it's all coming in around you.

GT5 is in the post, so to speak. I don't know if that will be as effective given the crappy speeds.

i pretty much bought the ps3 just to play wipeout hd. now i have to buy a whole new tv? goddamn!

if this takes off i'll probably get a 3d monitor long before i replace my not very old at all tv.

+ obligatory 'wither virtual reality?' question.

Probably not worth buying a 3D set if you don't already have one. It's the same game, just with some illusory depth and a HUD up your nose.

LOVE your display name btw.

My friend has a version of Arkham Asylum where you can watch it with 3D glasses. It was pretty cool but it made my head hurt, and I am not one of those people who gets headaches from 3D films.

Arkham Asylum in 3D? Red/green anaglyph? It's rubbish. The active shutter type being used now is far superior.

xp good luck hasbro

3d seiddab attack, that's what i call 3d. or ant attack.

there were a few red/green 3d type-in games in magazines (the last 3d craze coinciding with the cheap home computer wave of the early 80s) and, yes, terrible, especially those which required the 3d for aiming (the one i remember you had to be on the same depth plane as the attacking ships, damn near impossible)

ugh yeah. Active shutter 3D is nothing like that mess.
