hmmm what is my favourite LIMB :/

Will M., Tuesday, 15 January 2008 15:33 (eighteen years ago)

I went with Fallout. D&D rules aren't my thing.

gurps marketability rip

planescape is probably better but i went with my heart: BG2

gff, Tuesday, 15 January 2008 17:19 (eighteen years ago)

It was a really difficult toss-up between FO2 and P:T, but I gave the edge to Fallout because of the insane amount of time I went through it all (including the first one). I kinda hated the D&D adherences in Torment and BG games, but Torment's writing is pretty legendary.

I went for Planescape since Chris Avellone has since said straight out that the entire design of the game was based around delivering the narrative.

And Lionheart/BG2 don't really count, as they were more handled by some dumb French gamedev/Bioware.

Automatic thread bump. This poll is closing tomorrow.

I am still slightly agnostic about P:T. Please don't hate me. I want to believe.

I played hours and hours of BG1, but never finished it. The disc is still sitting there in my drawer. This thread is making me want to reinstall and restart it. (And it's the one I voted for, legitimate or not).

Okay everyone who voted for BG1 instead of BG2 is silly.

five years pass...

played some icewind dale last night. the hack and slash purity of that game are sort of pleasant and reassuring. oh what's up travelers i have a job for you. go forth and kill.

it's got the old-school story-lite rpg where the first thing you do is roll up a whole mess of characters. love it.

oh here's this btw http://www.gamersgate.com/DDB-DBAMC/dungeons-and-dragons-anthology-the-master-collection $6 for bg1 and 2, icewind dale 1 and 2, TOEE, torment
