I wasn't expecting this to do what it did, to me? Like, I am pretty totally suspicious of the whole games-as-deliberate-art thing, I tend to sort of feel that what's revelatory in the medium usually comes out as accidental glimmers in hackwork but this totally devastated me, I have been thinking about it all day.

Oh man this. My gf literally said "why did you do that to me" when I made her play it.

OK I should mention that IF YOU HAVEN'T YET PLAYED IT STOP READING AT THIS POINT BECAUSE SEIROUSLY YOU JUST NEED TO EXPERIENCE IT FOR YOURSELF. And now I feel like I can talk about it.

I'm gonna be a negative nancy and say I didn't really find anything profound in the 5 minutes. I understood the game mechanisms and their implied meanings (gradually moving from left to right of screen, the limited mobility with partner, etc), but...I already knew those things! And of course there's nothing wrong with trying to artistically convey the limits of life, especially through a short game, but...
